We celebrated our 37th anniversary with an overnight trip to Dahlonega, GA. We are early diners and had reservations at 6:00 p.m. and we were delighted to see that the place was packed! Attention to detail was everywhere. The menu was varied and beautifully prepared. I ordered the salmon, which came on a bed on creamed corn, however the corn was not at all mushy like you would think creamed corn would be. The corn kernels were sweet and tender. The portion of fish was very delicious and generous. My husband ordered the rainbow trout and said it, too, was delicious. The owner, Rob, took our picture so we'd have a memory of our anniversary dinner. He also showed us the original Dahlonega Jail that is in the basement of his restaurant. There is plenty of seating inside and out. We sat inside since it was hot and humid the day we were visiting.
