My new husband and I went here directly after our wedding. I was so nervous after reading the awful reviews... I must say I believe some people are expecting the Ritz or something. For the price, it was awesome. We arrived late Friday night. The hot tub took about an hour to heat up but that gave us time to enjoy each other. Woke up the next morning for breakfast which was amazing! Then we went on a picnic away from the property with the picnic basket we bought. This basket was full of food! We got our moneys worth out of it and more! We then went to a wine tasting the resort gave us. Dinner was great and the wine they provided us was delicious! Our favorite part was the hot tub for sure! The bed was comfy too. We stayed at the blue bird cabin and so glad we did. We will be back soon! I saw a lot of people talking about the TV's... We honestly didnt even turn it on. Why would we?! We had more to do walking around this property!

Room Tip: Blue Bird cabin has a hot tub that works great!

Went with 65 guys on a weekend retreat. The facilities were great for our crowd. Food was buffet style and plenty of choices. The conference room was spacious and comfortable. Big barnfire at night and large TV's availabe for those that needed that. Overall it was a good setting and the staff was very friendly. Booked again fot next year.

We got married here just last weekend. The fall colors were amazing, the staff helped to make everything perfect. The service at the reception was attentive but not overbearing. And, this place is gorgeous! Our family and friends stayed with us at Mountain Laurel Inn. 12 suites and while there were small issues (a coffee pot was missing, one jacuzzi tub didn't work), it didn't damper the fun. The 12 seat hot tub was perfect to watch the meteor shower! And of course the beauty of the gazebo followed by a carriage ride. I really couldn't have asked for more. Oh, and they served us breakfast! Really, a fairy tale wedding come true!

Room Tip: All the suites were great for families! Oh, take the cover off the hot tub for a bit before getting...

I found Forrest Hills online and after doing research decided to book an elopement pkg and weeklong stay for our honeymoon. So glad I did. Our ceremony was beautiful. We stayed in Luxury Cabin #12 and it was awesome! So comfortable and private. The lack of cell service, internet, and tv did not bother us one bit. Not because we were on our honeymoon but because anytime we are on vacation we like to leave that stuff at home. We enjoyed horseback riding, the food (they have really good cooks), the walks around the beautiful property, the hot tub in our cabin, the back deck swing and rockers. All the staff was super friendly as were the owners. We enjoyed talking with David and learning the history of how Forrest Hills came to be. Fasinating story. Can't wait to return one day. The area has alot to offer and we stayed on the go alot. Next time we hope to relax more because this is a place to leave your every day life behind and just appreciate nature's beauty and the simple things in life. The owners, David and Michele, work hard to make sure every guest is happy.

Room Tip: The Luxury Cabins are very nice. Comfortable furnishings. Nice deck with swing and rockers, perfect...

My husband and I were needing a relaxing getaway...and that's just what we had. Whether it was enjoying the hot tub or sipping a glass of wine on the back porch swing, it was just what we needed! Free movies were provided. Our luxury cabin was spotless and well maintained. The staff was there to meet the needs of the guests. They gave us advice on things to do in the area, packed us a delicious picnic lunch, and seemed to want to make it a positive experience for the guests. For example, when we got to the cabin, the hot tub was already hot and ready to use. The dimmer on the light was turned low, and soft music was playing. A low fire was burning in the fireplace. After a day of traveling, what could have been more perfect?

Room Tip: Our cabin was way on up the mountain, so there was very little traffic. It was quite secluded!
