“Top notch place - a fun, educational place for the whole family!”
Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

My family and I spent a wonderful morning at the Consolidated Gold Mines. The mine tour was educational and entertaining (without being tacky). Our guide was friendly and knowledgable. My kids enjoyed panning for gold and loved the gem mining. They actually found nice size emerald and sapphires, as well as numerous semi-prescious stones. The staff was knowledgable and did a great time helping my kids identify their stones and gems.

“I actually had a nugget in my pan! It was about the size of a rice.”
Reviewed December 3, 2012 via mobile

We didn't do the tour because I have a bad knee; however, my husband and I paid for the $11.00 mining pan which is the "higher" grade gold pan. He had som really good flakes and my first pan had the nugget! The staff was shocked when they saw it because they said it had been a while since they'd seen one that size. We decided to both get another pan each and between the two of us we found enough for about $100.00 in gold; especially, with the nugget. So, we spent $44.00 and have about $100 in Gold. It was a great experience!!!!!!!

“Interesting half hour”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

Basic tourist attraction, a little pricey, a lot of the information was a repeat of what was provided at the gold museum downtown.
