Small place, but BIG on flavor. Easy on your wallet. Family owned/operated - very nice folks. Can't get much better. I love it!

Okay, so you walk in, and you're not sure. The outside, next to Big Lots, seems a little sketchy. Then you go in, and see a few tables and chairs. Nothing fancy.
Relax, take a minute to watch the guy cooking. Unlike a lot of restaurants, he's right out there where you can see him prepare your food. That's Tom, he's the owner back there cooking, and that's probably his wife either on the cash register or back there helping. They do have some other help, but Tom's always there, and his wife almost always is. If you're a regular, you'll know his kids. Like most family business owners, his spend time there, and we've watched them grow up as we've been eating here for some time
Watch as the Wok burner flares up-you're looking at a master at work. While you wait for your order, and you will probably have to wait, savor the smells coming from the kitchen. If you weren't hungry when you walked in, you will be shortly.
Order anything you want, it's all good. My personal favorite is the house special spicy fried chicken. Just a bunch of boneless chicken breasts battered, deep fried, and coated in an amazing spicy brown sauce. If the Col. had been born Asian, this would be his favorite.
Oh, and don't worry about it being a little sketchy. Like most places in Cumming, it's fine. I've never even seen anyone have a problem there.
Hidden between "Big Lots" & a hair salon you'll find a wonderful Chinese Restaurant, "Hong Kong" that will not be disappointing! Michelle & her husband have been serving amazing, fresh & tasty food from this location for years & never have allowed their quality to lesson. If you are in the mood for something off the menu just ask! They are more than accommodating and will come up with something to please every palate! Just stopped by there last Friday night and had the Shrimp Kung Pao for the first time. Perfectly seasoned, not too hot and made the traditional way not the 'western style.' The Egg Drop Soup is like chicken soup for us - whenever we are not feeling well pick up a quart of that to help along a cold or whatever ails you! Just ask Michelle if you are unsure of what to order & I promise you will NEVER be disappointed!
Hong Kong is mainly a take out restaurant. They have a dining area but it is very small and cafeteria style. The food and the portions were great. I do recommend this place for take out or a fast lunch.
Hong Kong is a sleeper, except it is busy a can be. I stood with a dozen others as my to go order was made ready. It was my first visit, but the others told me it was worth the wait. Call a half hour ahead. This is not a very attractive place, it is small but it's the best Chinese in the Cumming area.
