My parents love Oktoberfest in Helen (about 18 miles away). I was able to get two rooms with reward points here using fewer points than for one room at the Helen Hampton.

So, we had to drive 25 minutes to hear the oompah bands, but it's a pretty drive. And there are many other great places to visit in this area.

This hotel has everything that makes the Hampton chain my favorite domestic choice: comfortable beds and rooms, generous and free breakfast, friendly desk clerks.

One note: if you plan to enjoy a glass of wine, bring your own glass (and your own wine, of course!). To be green, they only have paper cups. Meh.

On the upside, at least in October, they had a bowl of candy in the lobby!:-)

The Hampton Inn Cornelia is a great place to stay while in NGA and time has not changed that. The staff always goes out of their way to make you feel at home, the rooms are clean and well taken care of, breakfast always good. The HI is also close to food places to eat, shopping and things to see while in NGA. I will def return to stay at the Hampton Inn Cornelia for its standard bearer value, staff and quality of rooms!

As a business traveler, the Hampton Inn provides a great sojourn. Enter the sliding doors and you walk into an atrium which then opens into a seating area. Look up and there are three floors and each floor has a dedicated meeting room. Rooms are quite spacious and the beds are feather-like. There is free wi-fi, HBO, USA Today and if you forget anything like toothpaste or a razor, Hampton has you covered.

There is a complimentary breakfast served from 7 to 10 am. Fare is basic, but plentiful. There are seasonal fruits, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, a waffle machine maker, pastries, three types of coffee and tea.

The staff is great, friendly and there when you need them. I had a really late arrival and the receptionist simply handed me my room card and wished me a pleasant evening--no fuss with paperwork or checking in.

Don't forget to grab some Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the afternoon.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room by the breakfast area. Depending on the time of year, I'm sure it can get...

Good complimentary breakfast, hotel looks to have been built around 2003 but is in good shape. Interesting that it has a courtyard inside similar to an Embassy Suites but smaller. The hotel is set off the road behind another hotel so it isn't easy to see. New Wal-Mart located across the highway.

Decent hotel but some of the mattresses are hard as a rock. Stayed there twice and had one bad room. Breakfast is reheated frozen food and not very good. Rooms are clean and a fairly new building.

We stayed here as it was impossible to get accommodation during Oktoberfest in Helen, GA about 30 mins away. Hotel has a small lobby but a large central atrium that the rooms are built around. Rooms were usual Hampton Inn style and nice and clean. Being busy on this weekend the breakfast was a bit of a bunfight, running out of food and tables not being cleaned promptly enough. However, they were probaby much busier than normal during this weekend (no extra staff for the anticipated rush though?). Only downside were the kids doing laps of the corridoors early in the morning. Not the hotel's fault though--where were the parents? Hotel is a good reasonably priced option.

My wife and I loved this place. Clean, friendly, with great breakfast (and it is free!). If we ever come back to visit Helen, no doubt this will be the place to stay.
