“Very good staff and breakfast, but not value”
Reviewed June 14, 2011

My family and I have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting relatives in Columbus. Each time the staff has been very professional and friendly. The break fast was excellent with hot dishes changing daily. We didn't like the indoor pool because the ventilation was lacking and the chlorine burns your eyes. Our room has always been clean and service was timely and friendly. The hotel is a little hard to find behind the tire store, second drive way. Walking to area restaurants is not easy, you need a car to get there. I don't consider this hotel a good value. The rates seem high for no reason. Maybe it's the government per diem rate that they set their rates by. Better values, like the Hampton Inn, can be found in the area.

Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. All of the staff and everyone else who worked there just made you feel like home. the manager's cocktail hour was a real hit and added bonus. Our son is at Ft. Benning and we will definitely be staying here for all of our trips!

This facility was my first overnight stay in the CONUS after nearly 2 years in Afghanistan. The front desk manager, Cornelius Tignor, was very courteous and got me checked in 3 hours early. The hotel is clean, the room was nice and fresh, the appointments are welcoming, the breakfast is complete and ready fairly early (0600), and best of all, it was quiet.

Room Tip: get military rates even if retired

My stay here was excellent. I have stayed at many hotels in my 20 years of service in the Army. This was the best stay I have ever had. I was taken care of and accommodated to the fullest. The people at the hotel were very nice . Kay the general manager, Nicole and Gabby were great hosts. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Gabby, thanks for the daily cookies!!!!!

This cozy and classy hotel has employees that are not only friendly, they are extremely accommidating to families who are attending graduation at Fort Benning. The room was great... clean and comfortable with extras like microwave, fridge etc... we slept very well on the bed too. The free breakfast was outstanding with a wonderful selection each day... not just donut and coffee, but a full-on meal with eggs, bacon, make-your-own-waffle, oatmeal, juices and more. The neighborhood around this hotel was great too!

From beginning to end, our stay at Country Inn and Suites was outstanding. My parents, brother and family, and I were in Columbus to attend my nephew's graduation from basic training so we had 3 rooms for 4 nights. Reservations were made well in advance with Kay and Cornelius who were very helpful and accommodating, finding rooms to fit our needs at the best available rates.
Our rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean and the housekeeping staff were so nice in providing anything that we needed. Breakfast was the best variety and quality of any I've ever had--and was complimentary! And the front desk staff was incredibly professional yet friendly and warm.
Overall, I couldn't have been happier with our experience. Eight minutes to the airport and fifteen minutes from Fort Benning, proximity to numerous restaurants and in the midst of shopping areas. It was a pleasure staying here!
