“Superior Customer Service”
Reviewed March 6, 2012

I travel a lot both professionaly and personally on family vacations. Each time I stay at the Marriott it has been a great experience. However, if I were to rate them all (all the Marriott's that I have frequented), this Marriott provided the highest superior customer service. From our bellman, Robert to the front desk, everyone has accomodated our every request. Robert particularly went above and beyond on our arrival late Sunday night and every day thereafter.

During our training our trainees visited the on site restaurant. When they returned from lunch they shared an unfortunate experience. As soon as I contacted the appropriate person, Liz, she immediately responded to assure that this was not the level of service that was acceptable for their customers. She took our concerns to the General Manager. He responded immediately. To me that is true superior customer service, addressing any instance when that standard has not been met.

Thank you Robert, Liz and the other staff at Marriott Columbus.
See you again soon!

This place was not only beautiful to look at but the service was amazing! It is not often you go to a hotel and are spoken to like they knew you. They asked how our stay was before we left, explained something I questioned on the bill. It was so clean, and peaceful. Oh and the bedding, I didn't want to get out of the bed it was so comfy and fresh!

We stayed at the Columbus Marriott for a weekend. It was a nice comfortable room. The hotel is older but in fairly good shape. The hotel has a business center that you can use. Wireless internet is available for a small fee. We liked the area because it was very close to the Riverwalk area. I went running in the morning around the neighborhood and it was nice. The surrounding nightlife was limited but we wanted to stay in since the weather was crummy.

I travel to Columbus for business about six months a year and always stay at the dowtown Marriott. It is really convenient to the client and has lots of restaurants and shops around it. "Downstairs at the Loft" is one of the best restaurants in town and is right down the road. Only complaint is that they sometime overbook and have to bump people to other hotels, which are about 15 min away. The "Mill Suites" are a little roomier and nice but are kind of drafty with the exposed brick and inconvient to the concierge lounge if you're a gold/platinum member.

I travel for business and the Downtown Marriott has become my Home away from Home. The staff is wonderful - accommodating, efficient and ridden with Southern Hospitality. The rooms are what you would always expect with an upper end Marriott and I especially enjoy the "Mill" side of the hotel with its exposed brick walls.
