“Fabulous, historic venue for live theater”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

My wife and I have been attending programs at the Springer for 10 years and recommend it highly. Performances are consistently of high professional quality with inspired sets, lighting, costumes, and musical accompaniment. We have seen performances that run the gamut from dramatic classics to new, modern, small-scale musicals to hilarious comedies (especially the annual "Tuna Christmas" - you have to see it to believe it!).

Paul Pierce has done an amazing job as the guiding force for 20+ years, making the Springer a cultural jewel for Columbus that appeals to all ages and tastes.

“Outstanding Experience!!”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

This old theater has been revitalized and is thriving. It is thriving due to the great shows, productions, and hard work by the staff at the theater. I take my family and recommend to everyone. Great Job Springer.

“Great 'Lil Opry Place”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I believe this might be the oldest opera theatre in Georgia. These plays are done by local actors, having one or two actors that are nationally known. Most everything they do can be viewed by the entire family. It's very small. The live orchestra under the stage is always very good. Acoustics are perfect. A full bar is included and it's kid friendly. They can get popcorn & other snacks at intermission. This theatre is only a couple blocks from the Columbus Riverwalk.
