We stayed here the night before my husband's early morning flight out of Atlanta. I called the front desk that night and asked what time the hotel shuttle runs to the airport, as my husband needed to be at the airport by 6 AM. I was told, "If the shuttle's not here, it's at the airport. If it's not at the airport, it's here." I asked if we need to do anything else to arrange for the shuttle at a certain time in the morning. She condescendingly repeated her unhelpful remark.
We were the first passengers to board the shuttle the next morning. The desk lady several times made the driver wait for yet more and more guests, some of them going to the International terminal, which is some distance from the Domestic terminal we needed. The crusty driver grumbled but waited each time. My husband was now going to be late, despite our showing up for the shuttle on time, actually a bit early. When the shuttle finally seemed as if it might actually depart the hotel, it was halted yet again now for another guest. We jumped out of the so-called shuttle, and had to rush to get alternate transportation. It was torture being at the mercy of the front desk lady and the driver.
The room itself was comfortable enough, although in the morning, after grabbing coffee to bring back to the room, our room keys were no longer letting us in. We had to go up and down the elevator to the desk lady, who kept resetting our keycards. After the 3rd time, she ordered me to go wait outside my room for her, while she slowly served another guest. Eventually she arrived, tried the keys herself, and confirmed that the problem was a faulty lock battery, and replaced it right away at that point.
The hotel interior has a peaches-and-cream, southern ambience. The main level common area is open, sunny and airy, surrounded by tiers of cream-colored balcony walkways.
The free breakfast was average, with the usual eggs and sausage in warming pans, toast and danishes, yogurt, cereal, bananas and apples, and probably a waffle-maker.
I might stay here again before a flight, but I won't attempt to use the shuttle or engage the front desk lady with the off-putting attitude.

Your continued satisfaction and trust in La Quinta are our top priorities. We hope you will be staying with us again soon.
Traveled into Atlanta for the first time and this hotel was not only a great value but also first class customer service! No matter how many times we asked to be shuttled to the airport to catch the MARTA to travel into the city the were always gracious in providing us free transportation! They were very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with.
We stayed here 2 nights (June 21 and June 29, 2013) on a stopover to and from St. Maarten. We paid to leave our car in their parking lot while away and took the shuttle to and from the airport. That was very efficient and with little wait times on either end. The hotel is very convenient to the airport, whether by shuttle or by car. The lobby looks older, but is clean. The rooms are very spacious and more than adequate. Clean and comfortable. A good value for the money. Check-in and check-out were easy with no problems. The only complaint we have is that the woman at the front desk REALLY needs to learn how to smile and be friendlier to customers. She's rather stern and sometimes acts like she's doing you a favor to answer your questions. Other than that, all was well and we would stay here again.
