“Quiet place to catch your breath”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

We checked in on a Friday afternoon, turned our rent a car in at the airport (a quick drive), and relaxed after a hectic week before flying out on Saturday morning. Weekend rates were excellent. Very calm lobby in afternoon on a Friday. Walked under 5 minutes across the street to Champions for she-crab soup which was excellent. Wife had dinner salad that was very generous. Breakfast in the hotel lobby the next morning was also excellent--many hot and cold items to choose from. Walked to the SkyTrain elevator about thirty seconds out the front door and were at the air terminal in five minutes.

Room was nearly perfect for a good night's sleep. Nice pillows and the weight of the bedding was just right. A lot of light comes under the door and the small flashing fire alarm light seemed unnecessary but the quietness was much appreciated after a busy week.

Would definitely stay here again if overnight at ATL. Great place.

Green Features: Have to insert room key in slot inside room for lights to work. Interesting concept--guess so when you leave you need to take your key which turns out all the lights.

this is a nice new hotel. it is energy efficient so little waste of power. it is new and clean. Decor is mordern . Rooms are designed differently from a conventional hotel so a great change. It is at the airport so makes it easy to hope on to the train to go to the airport or use a different train to go to other locations in the city

Room Tip: ask for a room on a higher floor

The SpringHill is a very good choice for this location. It's well designed, modern, clean and comfortable. The suites are spacious, have lots of room to move about and are well appointed in terms of electrical connections and wi-fi access.

The only downside of this spot is that the better dining options are at the Marriott across the street. But, it's literally just a 100 yard walk across the street to the Champions restaurant at the Marriott. Easy.

Here is the comparison. I've stayed at both the SpringHill and Marriott on this street, as we were doing events in the convention center every December for a few years. The Marriott is a bit more comfortable and plush. You'll have better room service options and you need only to go downstairs to eat at Champions or the bar/lounge. But, for some reason, the wifi coverage in the Marriott is really poor. I had to go down to the noisy lobby or meeting room areas to get good signals. The SpringHill is less expensive and the rooms are bigger. It also has better wifi signals (go figure). But the dining options aren't as good at SpringHill. So, you just walk across the street to the Marriott.

I was here for 3 weeks doing some training for work and i can say this hotel has one of the nicest hotel staff's i have ever encountered. Every single person you walked by said hi, always with a smile, asking how your day was, if you needed anything. The breakfast ladies always having hot food out and it never runs short. The room is plenty big, with lots of room to spread out. The workout room has just enough to get a good workout. I will tell anyone who is going to visit Atlanta to stay at Springhill because i know they will be treated right! Thanks again to the entire staff!

Room Tip: Stay at the end of the halls, the cell reception is better there!

The suites looks new. Even that the hotel is near the airport you will not hear any noise. Also the downtown is not far.

They provide wireless net and parking service.

The negative thing was the air conditioning, even when we turned it off the room was still cold.

Stayed here one night at the start of a leisure trip. Took the skytrain from ATL terminal - pure simplicity and ease. This hotel is not new but is very well maintained. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are unique, I would even say fun. The layout is perfect with interior sliding doors and separate rooms for shower and toilet. The free breakfast was quite good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I've stayed on both ends of this hotel and each was equally and very well sound proofed.

Green Features: The is a green hotel. You need to insert your room key into a card reader inside your room in order for the lights to function. Remove the key and the lights/wall outlets turn off after a few minutes.

Stayed at this hotel twice now, just great - you can't beat the convenience of getting the skytrain to and from the airport, just two minutes, elevator down to practically within 20 yards of the front door. A really friendly welcome from the great smiley girls on reception, met all our requests from our booking, quiet room away from the elevator. Considering you're so near the airport you hardly hear the planes.
Above average breakfast with scrambled eggs, waffles etc., Yes it's a little expensive but is totally outweighed by the convenience.
Totally not the fault of the hotel but you have to get a shuttle bus to the Domestic Terminal from the International Terminal - loads of money spent on this terminal so why the small shuttle buses?
Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
