My husband and I attended a wedding here at the end of May.We had a lovely time and the staff were very helpful. The food and the service were very good. The drink was reasonably priced. For the amount of people attending the wedding there appeared to be less than adequate parking.

Had our wedding here on the 7th of June and the venue was just amazing! I had never been here before as my wife organised our whole wedding. I was absolutely amazed by the scenery around the hotel. We were fortunate enough to get great weather so were able to have our ceremony in the court yard with the magnificent views of the River Dee as the back drop.
Everything from start to the finish was perfect. The staff were amazing and ensured that our every need was catered for. The meal was beautiful and the waiting staff were very efficient and friendly. The bar was well staffed so there was no long queue for drinks like I have seen at weddings at other venues. Considering the amount of alcohol consumed this was quite an achievement.
The rooms and hotel are beautifully decorated and the room with the huge fireplace and high ceiling is amazing.
I can't rate this venue highly enough, every service they provided us with was first class!! Thanks!!

We managed to get at advance rate online of GBP100 B&B for 1 night. On arrival we were upgraded which was great! The rooms was a good size, bed was huge and has doors which opened out onto a patio. The bathroom was a good standard with a separate shower and bath. The staff were all lovely too. My only complained would be that breakfast was only served until 9.30am. For s Sunday this is pretty early in my option and to get it delivered to the room which finish only half an hour later it was £5 a head! Safe to say we didn’t have breakfast which was a bit if a waste, next time I’ll know to book a room only rate!

We got married here on 15th March 2013. From the time that we arrived the night before our wedding, the staff could not have done more to help. We had a lovely family meal in the bar that evening and the service was great. On the day itself, everything ran like clockwork. Ed was fantastic as were all of the staff. Small touches like ensuring that some of the canapes were kept back for the bride and groom were greatly appreciated. Our wedding meal was amazing and the service was fantastic.

The grounds of the hotel allowed us to have beautiful photographs taken but even if the weather had not been so kind, there are lovely areas inside too.

We have absolutely no regrets about picking Maryculter House Hotel for our wedding.

We stayed at this Hotel last weekend as part of a wedding party. We thought the Hotel was lovely - the bedroom was immaculate - seemed newly furbished with excellent bathroom facilties. The Wedding Day itself was 1st class - couldn't fault the service. The beautiful setting just completed the experience.

We stayed for three nights at this hotel, which is on the periphery of Aberdeen. The grounds are well kept and very attractive, enjoying an excellent location on the bank of the River Dee. The hotel itself is a magnificently old (1200s) building which has undergone renovation and recent extension. When we arrived we were given a room in the old wing which seemed a little below the standard which one would expect - the shower valve was broken, there some cobwebs, as well as some other imperfections. The room itself was spacious and the bed very comfortable (and I'm fussy with beds). Most importantly the pillows were of the right shape and consistency - quality pillows which have the right degree of support and softness to get a good nights rest. The next morning I asked the management to check the showervalve and mentioned the other problems - it transpired the room was actually meant to be out of service but we were put in it accidentally. We were promptly offered to change room and get an upgrade to a river-view room in the new wing. This room fulfilled expectations and was of a high standard throughout. During our stay there were two weddings and contrary to other reviews I must say they did affect our stay whatsoever. Breakfast was a buffet Scottish and Continental with a nice selection and polite attentive staff. We did not dine there because we had pre-existing dining arrangements. Wifi access in the hotel was quick and fuss-free.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to a friend, especially if they valued a secluded and quiet location in a scenic setting.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good food made this an excellent place to stay for a couple of days recently. Set on the banks of the River Dee the Hotel grounds are superb, and the sense of history in the older part of the hotel was very enjoyable.

The room we stayed in was very spacious, with a modern bathroom and walk in shower, a very comfy bed and an excellent leather sofa to relax on. Highly recommended and only 20 minutes from Aberdeen itself.

Room Tip: Room 222 was nice and spacious
