“Lovely quiet site, excellent location.”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Well kept, quiet site very close to Aberdeen and all it's amenities. We were there in October, so the weather wasn't great (is it ever that good in Scotland recently!) We planned to stay for four nights and added on an extra night and would have loved to stay longer but we had to get back to work/school. We were in a brand new caravan, it was gorgeous. Small play area for kids, touring area also looked nice. Lots to see and do on the doorstep. Plan to visit again later this year.

This was our second visit to this site and although we enjoyed our first trip this time the facilities were even better. Slightly annoyed to arrive having booked our pitch months ago not to be allocated where we wanted but Amy in reception soon rectified the situation and moved us. The addition of the family bathrooms was great and I certainly didn't grudge the 20p needed for a shower and even enjoyed the luxury of a bath at £1!! The main free showers were also spotless and never busy despite a pretty full site. Good play facilities and the games room with pool table also a big hit but we did miss the table tennis that has gone! Good to have the old mill next door for meals and shops nearby for the essentials. Great site, good sized pitches, great laundry and pot wash area, fab family site - we will return!

Thank you for staying with us again at Deeside and for taking time to review your visit.

We are delighted that you enjoyed our new family rooms and facilities. Unfortunately, we did have to remove the table tennis table to create room for the new amenities however, we may look into how we can fit this into the games room in the future.

We hope to welcome you back soon!

The site is very clean and tidy. The toilets, laundry and TV rooms are well appointed and looked after. Close to the river Dee with cycle path and good road links to Aberdeen 8 miles away. Even though it was very wet before and during our stay there were plenty of dry pitches for tents. The Old Mill Inn next to the site has good beer and hearty well cooked food, just right for a wet evening.

We booked 2 lodges, the first was great. Looked brand new, was clean, modern and very comfortable. The 4 people who stayed in this one got lucky and were very happy. Our other booking was not so good. Old and tired looking, not so clean and in parts falling to bits.
We should have asked to be moved and would have but as we were there for a wedding and didn't want to add to the stress of the occasion decided to just get on with it.
On arrival we were booked in for 1 lodge but not the other so maybe we got put into a lodge that was not ready
The weekend and wedding was fantastic and we all had a lovely time, thank goodness.
Luckily we were not in the lodge to much.

Room Tip: Go for the Oaks Lodge.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our Holiday Park at Deeside.

We have a range of accommodation available at Deeside to suit different budgets and preferences. The Oaks is a newer lodge which is reflected in the prices compared to our more traditional lodges.

Cleanliness is of high priority to us and we are sorry that you did not find this up to standard however, both lodges would have been inspected by the same housekeeping staff.

We are in the process of renewing several of the deckings and steps on our lodges and appreciate at the time of your visit there was slight wear on one of the hand rails. We can now tell you that this has been fixed and a new hand rail has been installed.

We value our customers feedback and will certainly look into the areas you have raised.

thank-you very much for an enjoyable stay at this lovely campsite! the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the site staff even showed us round and suggested places for me to pitch my tent. Having 2 young children 8&10 the games room and play area was ideal! think teenagers would get bored quicker though! would def reccomend this site to people, and come back again! only 1 negative the rain!!! never stopped, but didnt spoil our stay there. :-)
