If you are looking for franchise slick decor or pre-packaged homogeneous non-descript food, this is not the place for you.
Real fried chicken, homemade biscuits with white gravy, hamburgers that have never seen a freezer and authentic sweet tea are Glenda's hallmarks. Their steak sandwich is delightful and tasty. Fried pork chops are served piping hot with a generous hand and even more, a reasonable price. The mashed potatoes are real, not reconstituted.
This is real food, not pre-packaged muck from a warehouse and the prices are so reasonable you easily afford that slice of fresh homemade cake sitting in their covered dishes on the counter. So you have to do a little exercise to compensate, who cares! You know you're not being served chemicals disguised as food at this gem of a restaurant.
By the way, the staff are friendly and helpful too. Your glass of tea is never empty.
