My son and I were looking for an inexpensive, but clean and safe place to spend a night on our way through town on a kayaking trip. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The room was very clean, the beds very comfy. I slept GREAT. Everything worked - A/C, cable TV, free in-room Wi-fi. The area felt safe - a little road noise, but I only noticed it during waking hours. The staff was very friendly. The free continental breakfast was minimal but good - coffee, a few pastries, bagels, bananas, etc. We also ate dinner at the Mexican restaurant downstairs and it was good as well. No, this is not the Ritz, but if you're looking for an inexpensive place to have a good night's rest, this might be for you. Definitely would recommend.

WARNING!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF MONEY!!!!
We paid for our 2 room 2 night stay with a credit card back in June. The debit WAS taken out on the credit card. It was shown on the credit card bill.
When we check in on Friday night, the lady behind the counter sign us in and told us to have a nice stay. We were in our rooms until 1:00 the next day before leaving for the afternoon and evening. When we returned that night around12:00 we were LOCKED out of our room! The front desk person said that the credit card was declined. We tried to explain that the credit card had already been charged but they would not listen. We had to pay another 75.00 for Friday night but refused to pay for Saturday and we chose to leave that night at 1:00 a.m. instead of paying for another night.
I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE. TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT TO STAY.
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THE ROOMS SMELLED LIKE URINE!

we stayed for a long weekend and found that the hotel was very nice. The mexican resturant was also very good. The only downside was a young man running around late at night yelling "Springbreak 74" whatever that meant. The next day my wife said the man was wondering around outside looking for his "flip flop" he descrbed himself as "ME HUTCH" all in all a great trip

The hotel is off of Hwy 441 in the city of Clayton. The room was clean and there were no offensive smells. The hotel offers a very simple breakfast in the morning offering bagels, glazed donuts, bananas, milk, cereal, and hot coffee. The do have a small pool out front that was clean and safe for the kids. Safe being it was shallow in depth. I would recommend the Dillard House (Country buffet) or Mama G's for Italian food. I paid 80 dollars a night which is not to bad for that time of year.

  • Liked — Location to rafting on the local rivers
  • Disliked — A little pricey for the accomodations

Very clean room...neat as a pin. Young lady at the desk was friendly and cooperative. The Mexican restaurant/cantina located underneath the restaurant was frequented by families and couples during my stay....so no problem. Very pleased.

We did a quicky weekend and grabbed this place over the phone site unseen. When we pulled up I thought I had made a BAD mistake. The hotel is ABOVE a Mexican bar/restaurant. Meaning the downstairs is full of drunk people.....that being said the rooms were very nice. Had 1 with 2 doubles a smoking room. Was clean so far as sheets and towels go. The smoking room did stink as would be expected. There was misc trash under the dresser. Everything was in good working order. Supplied a hair dryer, iron and board, and mini fridge. The second room was non smoking with a king and a fold out couch. Once again everything in good order. Had a microwave in addition to the things the other room had. Did not see any trash hiding in room number 2. The non smoking room smelled clean and fresh. The fold out couch had no linens or pillows and had to go to the desk to get them myself. I was "serenaded" by drunk men on the balcony while going to my car. Was funny not rude but could have been dangerous I guess. A continental breakfast was provided until 10. Same old stuff. In a clean little area beside service desk. Service personnel were nice and American so easy to communicate with. Paid in cash, no hidden surprises. Paid $54 and $59 for the rooms on the same day as the towns little spring festival.
