Golf course is beautiful. That's where it stops. Free breakfast was four items all the same three mornings in a row. Room was very outdated. Old tube tv with lousy channels and reception. I called the front desk to ask how to get my messages from the phone and they said they didn't know how. fourth of July weekend and the place was dead. No wifi in room as advertised. You could really tell this was having financial problems. Yes, check it out, look across the street and see the huge development for housing they put in and there is one spec House in there. Multiple millions just siting there. Sad.

Two nights for $99 with breakfast!! Spacious, comfortable room w/balcony and mountain views. Friendly staff. Orange juice was to die for! Negatives: Wi-Fi not working, small garden salad for $4.95 was a rip-off, TV functioned only in black/white, sliding glass door to balcony needs grease! However, would definitely return...

Room Tip: sun-Wed Two nights with breakfast $99 plus $11 tx

We stayed at the Inn at Kingwood for a wedding.. The room was very basic but still a good deal for the price. The only problem we had was that the air conditioner made terribly loud noises at night (sounded like a dirtbike), and we had to turn it off. If you are in the area and need to stay on a budget, I would not hesitate to recommend this place, primarily due to a room cost of less than $100/night. The free breakfast had grits to die for!

This was our first time at Kingwood -- only about 1 1/2 hrs away from the ATL. We rented a 3-bedroom condo. It was fabulous! Not a spot or wrinkle -- it was clean. The vibrant color scheme, spacious floor plan, and beautiful mountain view smiling back through the windows made for a tranquil, but exciting experience. Not much to do on the premises outside of golf and spa treatment. The rest -- such as fishing, biking, hiking trail -- is up to your own creative planning and resources. Since we needed more rest than anything else, it was perfect for us. The little-one got kind of anxious so we took him fishing at Andy's Trout Farm, just over the state line in NC. The fish farmer cleaned our fish for a small fee, then we returned our catch to the condo where we cooked and ate over a DVD movie. It was better than going out. My suggestion to Kingwood for improvement would be to clean up the pond at the Welcome entrance, and to offer more entertainment on the premises. I would have loved to just park the vehicle and not move it until the end of our stay.

Overall very relaxing, the condo was worth it, and friendly staff.

Room Tip: get top floor

Kingwood Country Club was by far the best option for us. We only stayed one night while dropping our daughter off at summer camp. We will definitely be back next week to stay again when we pick her up.
