“Beechwood Inn Great great weekend getaway!”
Reviewed April 4, 2007

My wife and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and took a weekend getaway up to the Wine Country in the North Georgia Mountains. We really enjoyed the Beechwood Inn, David and Gayle were great hosts, and the food was fantastic. The rooms are very well kept and are very spacious. It is an easy drive from Atlanta, and also very close to some great wineries. Also, very close to Tallulah gorge which is great for hiking. We will definitely recommend this place to friends, and will certainly visit it again.

Clayton, GA: Beechwood Inn Bed and Breakfast: Wonderful Experience!!
Date: February 4, 2007
Reviewer: Recent Guest

We have just returned from a weekend at the Beechwood Inn. The service was excellent and the owners and their new assistant innkeeeper (Ricky) were the very best. Even though the weather was quite cold, the fireplace in our bedroom, as well as the one in the sitting area were perfect for the cold days and evenings. We enjoyed a fabulous Tuscan dinner on Saturday evening with excellent food and equally excellent wine pairings! The innkeepers, Gayle and Dave, were very attentive to each detail and gave us such a great intro to our first bed and breakfast stay! Their knowledge of wine and their recommendations for area vineyards and attractions were "right on the mark." We would highly recommend this inn and especially the Saturday evening dining experience!

The Beechwood Inn was an incredible stay. My boyfriend and I spent one night in Clayton, GA and left rested, happy, and engaged.

The best parts of the Beechwood Inn are the comfy beds (we slept like rocks and didn't want to do much more than laze in bed), and the owners (incredibly personable, knowledgable and kind).
We thoroughly enjoyed the history of the Inn, and talked about the breakfast for days afterward. We feasted on fresh fruit with yogurt, warm banana nut muffins, homemade quiche and home fries, coffee, and juice.
I liked sitting in the living room in the morning with my coffee, listening to the pleasant conversation between the owners and the other guests, while I thumbed through the binder of articles about the Beechwood Inn. Reading the magazine clippings, I learned alot about the owners and their knowledge of wine and fine foods, and I hope to be able to return for one of their wine tasting dinners and interesting conversation about their experiences and travels.
The inn is beautiful sitting high above Clayton. It has an amazing porch with lots of seating and rocking chairs. Next time I'm going to spend less time enjoying the bed and more time with a book in a rocking chair on the porch.
I will definitely return-- perhaps for the anniversary of my engagement :) and I highly recommend the Beechwood Inn to anyone looking for a charming bed & breakfast.
Cheers
