When I heard this was were we were going....I thought "oh no".. Boy was I wrong.
Upon arrival, we first greated by the owner Ed Kivett, who went out of his way to show us around the property. Really nice guy.
We had a 3-room suite and enjoyed the space. Stayed in room 28. It had a sitting room with two day beds, a wing back chair, and a gas fireplace. Window looked out to the back of the property. Room also had separate changing room, bathroom, and bedroom with king bed. We really loved the room and I'd stay in it again. Only con to the room was the matteress needed to be replaced (yes I even spun it around). Also, the bedroom is directly above the main dining area so the noise at night from the dining room is noticable. It was quite when dinner service ended.
Speaking of dining, we had dinner on the property and is was fantastic. We ordered Lamb Chops and the filet. The steak was ok/good, and the Lamb Chops were outstanding. Wine list was pretty good and overall, I was suprised at how reasonable our meal and drink total was. In fact, we were going to have dinner out the second night but decided to order room service from the main dining menu. That night we ordered salads and split the Pasta Special which was spicy cream sauce with sausage and chicken...outstanding!
Overall this was a really great stay, great food, and very relaxing. If you are looking for a quite weekend getaway, this is a good choice.

Room Tip: Room 28 is a 3 room suite that is above the dining room. I'd stay in this one again if/when I r...

Glen-Ella Springs was a very quaint place that had all the details perfectly covered for a very nice home away from home experience. The inn has so much character. I was quite surprised to find the next morning at breakfast that there were quite a few guests staying at the inn because it was very quiet and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The breakfast was wonderful too!

I would highly recommend this inn for a romantic getaway or even a women's retreat as it is perfectly suited for either.

when I was 12, my parents took our family to Glen-Ella for dinner. I was enchanted with the place and planned to get married there when I grew up! Getting married here was not an option, but honeymooning was! We couldn't have picked a better place. Our queen size room was cozy and rustic, something we both enjoy. The service was outstanding! Ed and Luci were fantastic and made us feel at home and special. We picked the Hiking Package and we so enjoyed the beautiful falls and the wonderful picnic prepared for us by the B&B. Our meals were excellent! We both enjoyed every bite. We hope to come back very soon!

We found this special place highly rated on TripAdvisor while driving in North Georgia. With little notice we called and left a message and Ed called us back promptly. He gave us careful directions and they led us right to this lovely place. We had a short drive on a non-paved road and had no trouble. We arrived after dark and found the place quite enchanting. Our room was perfectly prepared and spotless. The authentic details in the architecture make the place very special. We were served a lovely breakfast including homemade cinnamon rolls. Yum! We definitely recommend this place and hope to return soon!

The Glen Ella Prings Inn was a wonderful place to spend the weekend. My girlfriend and I had decided to go white water rafting on the nearby Chatooga River and wanted a nice place to come back to after an intense day in the rapids. The Glen Ellen turned out to be a perfect choice. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the suite was comfortable and inviting, and the breakfast was amazing. Probably the best grits we've ever tasted!

I had been to Glen-Ella years ago just for dinner and, finally, had an opportunity to spend several days there. A bit pricier than my usual places and worth the difference. Staff is friendly and helpful, the owners make a point of meeting and welcoming guests, and the hummingbirds will make you smile during breakfast and dinner on the terrace. Breakfast offered different treats (pancakes, breakfast casserole, etc.) each morning; dinner has delicious options beautifully prepared. Rooms are clean, very attractive, and include most amenities, but this is an old inn and it has some the quirks of an old inn (as noted on website). There are beautiful views, rocking chair porches, a nice pool, a fantastic English-style garden, and it's far enough from everything that's "busy." We spent time in Clarkesville and Cleveland, small towns that have restaurants, shops, and galleries of various sorts. Plenty of art and pottery, of course. Also went to one of the wineries. For hikers, etc., there are many options. All this and only about 90 minutes north of Atlanta! Very relaxing vacation spot. We'll be going back again.

Room Tip: For those who may need to know: there are several rooms on same level as lobby and restaurant, but...
