We took a small group, including a dog and my 88 year old mom on this hike today. The slightly rocky uphill trail was somewhat challenging for my mom, but she made it! I do recommend a walking stick for elderly hikers. The falls are nice, with an observation deck. The trai is lined with mountain laurel, so even in winter it was very pretty.

We capped off the hike with lunch at the nearby Toccoa Riverhouse Restaurant. The food, atmosphere and service were fabulous. Their specialty is local trout, do not miss out on it. Two of us at the table of five had the broiled trout and everybody else wished they had ordered it.

This will be a standing day trip for guests in the future - a pretty drive along the river followed by a hike and then lunch.

We spent the day at Lily Pad Village and the owners suggested this waterfall. It is perfect for kids. I have a 10 yr old and 7 yr old and they ran most of the way up it. It's only 1/4 mile trail. You follow the white diamonds and your there in no time. They have a wonderful wood platform you walk out onto to look at the falls. It is gorgeous. It has two falls together, it drapes off the first and then on the second into the creek. I looked at pictures but they do it no justice. You have to see it and hear it your self.

this trail is only 10-15 minutes & easy to get to ... easy for everyone.... not a far drive or walk...

Great for those who aren't hikers or for small kids who want to see a cool waterfall..... It's just a couple miles ( 8 or so) out of Blue Ridge...
Park on the road... walk up the through the woods to the falls...
Great little adventure to keep the young ones on the go.... and a super great photo op.

Short hike - super falls to see. I am not a big hiker and this was not far or difficult at all. The drive far exceeded the length of the hike, but even the drive was cool - very scenic.
