“Count on it for an excellent meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

Always a consistently delicous meal in a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Himalayas has operated for a long time and is somewhat of an insider's secret by virtue of it's location. Tucked back in a strip mall, it's presence isn't obvious, but this will be an advantage if you go there, as it is absolutely a snap to park up close, and you generally will not wait to be seated.

“Best Indian Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

When we lived in Atlanta, this was the restaurant we learned to love Indian food at. It hasn't changed much, even though we have since moved away. While we miss eating here, we make sure to stop by for lunch or dinner whenever we are in town. Such was this October...

We stopped for a late lunch one day, and ordered off the menu. The prices have gone up over the years, but it's still just as good. We love it. Our son, who normally isn't excited about Indian food at all (he gives it a "meh" at best, normally), really enjoyed himself, and even asked us to save his leftovers *for him* (normally we save them for ourselves at home).

Remember, hot is HOT here, but tasty. They have the best hot spiced tea (chai) around, and we just love eating here. It's a "hole in the wall" sized place, but those always seem to be the best, anyway.

I thoroughly recommend eating here, especially if you've never had Indian food and want to see what it's like, or you are an expert Indian food eater -you just can't go wrong.

“Our favorite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

This has been our favorite Indian restaurant in North Atlanta for many, many years.
Assorted appetizer is great and they do a superb job on a wide-ranging menu.
Our favorites are Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Bhuna but most items are excellent.
Very friendly owner and staff, consistent for many years.

“Honest review”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2010

I visited the restaurant with family yesterday night . The place is dirty and saw flies. I think the reviews are left my Owners. We ordered Chicken Buna and they got us Beef Buna and server cant even talk and was dressed very shabby . Server told us to eat or pay. We were upset and did not touch it. The servers were talking trash and joking in bengali thinking we cant understand and we got upset and left the place without eating and paid the bill. Worst indian food ever had in life . Never will go there only strangers visit there not knowing the place and place was empty during peak time only us.

“Excellent and a more varied cuisine than...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2010

Excellent and a more varied cuisine than typical Indian cuisine. Having one owner from Bangladesh may give them an edge. Flavorful well crafted sauces and a great variety of naan distinctively different. 3 dinners with 1 22oz beer and a generous glass of wine all for $60 a great value. And where else would you find a delicious homemade mango ice cream. My wife loved it and she doesn't even like ice cream!
Highly recommend.
