Love the food - the atmosphere - this is the quintessential southern eatery. If you're looking for good food, good price, off the beaten path - this place is it!

The best local spot around Cartersville for breakfast, lunch and dinner! For those who are into good home cooking, quality ingredients, and a very friendly atmosphere, check out Cody J's. This family owned and operated, meat and three, is the best place to unwind in the morning, over a plate of two eggs, 2 sausage, gravy biscuit, breakfast potatoes, and blackberry jam, and a newspaper. It is such a hearty breakfast, it comes out on two plates! Just $4.95. They have all the best breakfast meats including city or country ham, smoked sausage, streak o lean, bologna, pork tenderloin and chicken tenders. Homemade biscuits and gravy, make it bonified country. Lunch varies everyday, so check out their phone or facebook menu for meat, veggies and corn bread. Huge salads, sandwiches, and homemade desserts are on the menu, but breakfast is my favorite, except when they have chicken n dumplins. Oh, also open for supper on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

This is a down home country restaurant in the Cartersville area. My husband has gone there for lunch on many occasions during the work week. He enjoys the food and service. They do cater mostly to a southern clientele from what I understand.

Go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!! Excellent place for great country cooking. Love their vegetables, country ham (a whole slice), sweet tea, and chocolate delight for dessert. A local favorite and it will be one of yours too if you try it!!

My husband and I live in Suwanee, Ga and was on a long week-end trip traveling up Hwy 75 at the local sites. Our GPS directed us in between sites to Old Mill Rd. We had no clue where we were. We saw Cody J's Restaurant and because the parking lot was full we figured it would be a great place to stop. We were not dissapointed. The service was great, staff was friendly and the food was terrific. We will definately be back there with family and friends.
