The Irish Bred Pub in Carrollton, GA has a diverse menu, attentive service, good food and beverage specials and a fun atmosphere in an old town square setting. Soft drinks are served in very large glasses and refilled attentively throughout your meal.
The smoked tuna appetizer is LARGE and obviously made in-house, with plenty of red, yellow, and green chips for dipping. It could be a meal in itself.
The fish and chips is made from ocean halibut, not your low-end "ocean whitefish" by any means. The breading adds to the flavor, rather than overwhelming it, and the piece of fish (which was perfectly filleted) is about a foot long. The fries that come with it are average, but the house-made cole slaw is superior.
One of my employees RAVES about the Shepherd's Pie, which was also a large portion with plenty of meat inside and a thick layer of cheese over the top.
Bud Light pints were $1 on that Tuesday evening, so two in my group took ample advantage of that option. I settled for water with lemon, and the 4th chose Diet Coke.
The bill came to $81 for four entrees, the really large appetizer, four beers and one coke.
