What a fantastic campground! I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Our site, 81, was a pull-thru that... read more
just an update to my previous review. The boat lift is now open. You can also go crabbing near the lift.
We had my son's 13th birthday party here. The pavilions are nice. They have picnic tables, a grill, a counter and a sink. You can fish, camp, and have a great outing with the family.
We were stranded in Brunswick, Georgia, waiting for our motorhome to be repaired when we found this park. It is right on the water's edge, with lots of covered picnic tables, some for large groups that included water, electric and a sink with counter space. The park included a full hookup campground with Wi-Fi and cable, showers, laundry and bathrooms and a small lake, complete with kayaks and canoes.
This park also included a launching service for small craft, and bait for fisherman and a pier for those who wanted to fish from shore or just watch the water. There was also a well kept, nice wide walking trail for those who wished to walk or bike around. We liked it so much that we went every day with our dogs and played Scrabble to help pass the time.
The area is part of the Golden Isles which included Jekell Island and St. Simon Island only a short drive away. It was a good place to be stranded in.
by attending Woodmen of the World senior May 19 for a week it was a very beautiful island. we had a lot of fun ..having never visiting Blythe Island
True Southern atmosphere but be forewarned: if you go you MUST have bug repellent. My dog and I walked the hiking and bike trails but half the time we had to run ahead of the clouds of mosquitoes. But it is beautiful and being just a few miles from I-95, a great stop if it's a road trip. We loved it. The camping area looked really nice.
Stopped here for a rally. Have used this campground before for a rally. Had 11 coaches (37 to 43 feet long). Plenty of space for large rigs. We had pull thrus, 50 amp, water and sewer on site. Staff excellent to work with and always friendly. Lots of trees, nice and quiet.
