“Family fun guareented!!”

Love this family owned camping/tubbing business!! I've been visiting here for years. The staff are friendly and I dare you to find a cleaner bathroom. The owner is out there scrubbing them daily! Times going down the river vary drastically depending on the amount of rain but if you call ahead they will let you know if its an hour long or 4 hours long. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it under the huge shaded pavilion.

My family and I just spent 4 days at TVC and what a blast. Gina the owner was nice and a real sweetheart. She tries hard to make sure you have everything you need to have a great time. Everyone had a blast tubing and the pick up process was down to a science. This isn't a five star resort but if did your homework you would know that. It's a family friendly, clean and well organized camp ground , a wonderful place to meet new friends and have fun. We will definitely go back. P.S. As I exited my camper I saw mountains to my left and the Toccoa to my right. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic. Very clean PINK tube with a bottom & life jacket. Only a few feet to walk down the ramp to the river. Then a 1.5 hour float over mini rapids before exiting by the pink tube just before Shallowford Bridge. Then you are picked-up (our van arrived just as we exited the river) and taken back to the start by the van. Our 2 young girls had a great time. We will be back

Gina the owner will rarely refund money and she trys to nickle and dime everybody. Example: ask for a refund 48 hours ahead on a tent site and she avoided me and never gave money back also we stayed 4 days last stay and tubed 1 time and u would think they would offer at least a dollar discount on tubing to campers but no way.Imagine cold tubing and cold showers cause she keeps hot water at lowest settings. My tip? Stay elsewere.

We made our reservation a month in advance.  Explicitly stated we had a hybrid travel trailer with slide out and fold down beds.  I was asked if we had a popup and told the woman "no, it is NOT a pop up it is a travel trailer."  I asked for and was informed we would receive a shaded site.

Arrived to the smallest site in the campground with no shade and if we were to park our trailer there we could not use our slide out and one bed because we were so close to the road or we might slide off into the river.

We were eventually offered a shaded spot with no fire pit, table or grill.  Their other sites had fire pit, table, and grill.  We were literally within a couple of feet of the shower house and our neighbor's sewer line.

We had little choice but to accept since it was a holiday.

Charged full price!

Terrible layout for a campground.  You have to get turned around in order to back into a site.  When it rained half of our site flooded (of course it was the half in front of the door).

This is in contrast to the nice grading of gravel on the road and in front of the tubing trailers.  The sewer connections are angled 45 degrees and jut out of the ground about 10 inches.  And we weren't the only campers frustrated at having to repeatedly reset a tripped breaker on the supposedly 30 amp electric.

On the positive the bathrooms, showers and changing rooms are kept clean.

The office has an outside phone ringer that is never put on silence.  It rings all day long.  It rang as late as 11pm and as early as 5am!

This is a campground squeezed into a tubing outfit.  Most of their tube only customers walk across the highway into the campground to get to the check in and launch site.  A few parked in the campground.

Both trips down the river were enjoyable.  The shuttle service for our first trip was no problem.  We waited about 10-15 minutes for a shuttle van to take us back to camp. The female driver was pleasant.

We should have only gone down once.

The next day when we finished our second trip down the river we waited patiently for 2 shuttles to arrive and depart fully loaded before a third arrived (approx. 30 mins).  The male shuttle driver invited us to get in the van and as soon as we sat down he walked to the drivers window to turn off the engine so he could go take a smoke break and wait for more tubers.  We sat there for another 20 mins.  Their second van arrived and it too sat there parked.  It was a 95 degree day and we had waited approximately an hour from the time we got out of the water to arrive back in camp!

If our only option in the future is to stay at Toccoa Valley Campground we will stay home instead.

This is a definite MUST DO. I am not sure why it is not under things to do in Blue Ridge.
It is $10 a tube life vest too and then off you go down 6 (about 2hours) miles over mini rapids in a big pink tube!
You get picked back up by the company van and they drive you back (scariest part of the trip but only took a few minutes to get back to our car. It is so relaxing, the water nice and cool for June! Great time even for kids about 2 years old but will probably be on your tube in your lap the entire trip as I observed.
It is not a lot of work to get down the river it carries you unless you are a little bottom heavy then you may get stuck on some lower rocks and feel the bruises the next day:)
I would do again over hiking any day!!!

Tubbing was an incredibly relaxing family experience for us. Our kids, 6 and 12 years old, will never forget this magical ride down the Toccoa River in the pink tubes.
Gina and the staff at TVC are amazing! Thank you!!!!!!
