Warm and inviting. This does not just describe the lodge, but our hosts as well, Mary Jo and Bob. The Aska Lodge had all the right touches and made our short stay special. Breakfast was served elegantly on the big dinning table and it was delicious. We stayed in the Jessica Lynn room which was complete with large jacuzzi right in our room. Very romantic. Quiet, pretty location and very welcoming. You feel so relaxed as soon as you enter. Great porch to admire the views and nice restaurant near by. I forget the name of it but Mary Jo will let you know. Wish we were there longer.

We booked our stay at the Aska Lodge because we had a meeting to attend in the area, and there were no rooms left where the meeting was scheduled. We felt like we were lucky that we didn't stay where everyone else did. The Aska Lodge was beautiful, clean and welcoming. Mary Jo saw to our every need. I thought breakfast would be a serve yourself affair. We ate with the other guests like a family and were served delicious meals with homemade breads, fresh fruit and interesting main dishes. I thoroughly recommend this lodge to anyone who plans to go to this area.

We have been to many B & B's before. The Aska Lodge was by far our best experience. Bob and Mary Jo are great hosts and go the extra mile for their guests. They are also located on a beautiful piece of property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The lodge is beautiful, yet very comfortable. Some of the extras offered to guests are: soft bath robes, cold sodas accessible all of the time, snacks, bottomless cookie jar and a fire around an outdoor fire ring. You can spend the day relaxing at the lodge or touring the area.

  • Liked — The wrap around porch and the breakfasts.
  • Disliked — We had to leave at the end of the weekend.

My sister and I decided to go to the Aska Lodge for a girls weekend and are already planning our next trip. Mary Jo and Bob (the owners) were so fun and I have never met a nicer couple. The food was delicious (especially the gourmet french toast) and the rooms were beautiful decorated and inviting. Each morning I loved sitting on the private deck in the Rachel Victoria room looking at the humming birds.

Blue Ridge was a blast! My sister and I went white water rafting and when we come back in April for a wedding we are already planning to take our family out there. The little shops were extraordinary and all the people in Blue Ridge are so nice and accommodating. It is a great place to find little treasures. I didnt spend too much but I got a lot.

I WILL definitely go back again and again until Mary Jo and Bob give me permanent residence there. I highly recommend the ASKA Lodge for a weekend get a way whether it be romantic or just a weekend for girls.

  • Liked — The rooms were really nice and the views were outstanding!!!!!!

We found absolutely no faults during our stay at Aska Lodge. Our room was very comfortable, great view of the nearby mountains, unique decore and very functional. The service and the food were great. Bob and Mary Jo were super friendly and totally committed to our comfort. We plan to stay again in the future

My husband and I wanted a quiet weekend getaway in the mountains to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We chose the Aska Lodge and it was just perfect! The innkeepers, Bob and Mary Jo were very gracious. The whole lodge is newly renovated and filled with interesting collectibles and memorabilia. Our room had a private balcony with a great view. Did I mention we were served a gourmet breakfast each morning? We would definitely recommend the Aska Lodge.

We were there for a wedding and picked this B & B over the internet not knowing what to expect.
The host/hostess, Bob and Joann, were the friendliest and nicest we have met to date at a B & B. The food was scrumpley delicious------just melted in your mouth. We had a great time talking with the other guests.
The host and hostess made us feel right at home and even better than being at home..........we did not have to cook! *smile*
Joann......The clipping is still living!
The room was wonderful and the bed divine.
Thank you so much for making us feel so good during our stay there.
Sincerely,
Margie McIntyre and Don Gallagher
