We stayed for an Anniversary weekend getaway in the Talona cabin (a rustic cabin) and I would, and will, recommend The Last Resort to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing get-a-way. The Last Resort is about 5-10 minutes from Main Street, but it is far enough away to remain quiet. Joe in the office is so nice and great to talk to. The cabin was clean and cozy and we couldn't ask for anything more.
Sure you can find "nicer" cabins in Blue Ridge, but you have to be willing to pay for game rooms, granite counter tops, and the newness. But at the Last Resort, you get a great, clean cabin for way less than most others in the area. And, if you are going during the cold months, you will appreciate the INDOOR Hot Tub!!!!
We will be back!
