“Numerous Laughing Buddha statues to cheer you up”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I love all the various laughing buddha statues in various sizes and costumes lined around the temple. The whole temple is massive and worth a visit.

“The temple is clean and spacious.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

I like the different statues doing different activities, especially the one holding a microphone. The golden buddha sitting at the top looks magnificent.

“Good mistake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

We wanted to go to Nagoya and somehow the 3 taxis took us to this Buddhist temple and was glad it was a good mistake. The temple is big, spacious, clean and everything seems to be orderly. Due to time constraint we did not try the vegetarian food but did spend about 40 minutes walking around and the staff is indeed friendly and helpful. For non Buddhist 30 minutes to walk around would be sufficient, for those who pray, it may take about an hour or so.

“Interesting temple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

No wonder this temple is one of the main places to visit in Batam. Love the praying halls, the murals, the statutes, the vegetarian foods and the friendly staff.
