“Bad Service & Unfriendly Staff”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

The staff here were not friendly at all. Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted so stood there and waited to be seated. In the mean time, a lady and man came in behind us. They knew we were there first but the server escorted them to the next available table. We were left standing there, when someone sitting at a table, yelled, :Sit anywhere you want." We finally found a seat and decided to eat from their buffet, which was a bad mistake, The girl serving the food acted like she was doing us a favor when we asked a question about an item, We didn't know what it was, so we asked. The food was just barely warm and not seasoned at all. The server never came back and asked if everything was ok nor did she refill our drinks. Once we were finished, we had to go to the register to get our check, because nobody brought it to us. We were made to feel like we weren't even there, Not a warm friendly atmosphere at all and the food wasn't good either. We won't be going back there to eat!

“Yummy Christmas Eve breakfast”
Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

My family was vacationing in Union County during Christmas break and wanted to go out for breakfast one morning, instead of cooking. My mother-in-law wanted country ham especially. We picked the right place! The ham was good and salty and the pieces we got were huge. The biscuits were light and the hash browns very tasty. The coffee wasn't too strong and the waitress never let it get below a half a cup. The view from our table was fabulous! The mountains were covered with thick frost. Next time I'm in Blairsville, I'd go back.

“Good home cookin'”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

They have a great lunch at a great price every day. The salad bar is also very good. We love coming here with friends for breakfast. You can't beat the prices for the quality.

“Best chopped steak in town.”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Their chopped steak which is one of the best we've ever eaten along with a baked potato covered in kosher salt. Great home cooking and the service is always prompt and pleasant.

“Once Is Enough”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

The quaint restaurant name and the number of vehicles in the parking lot encouraged us to stop in for lunch. We expected some good down-home cooking but were more than disappointed with the food offered from the "buffet" at which you are served school cafeteria-style by lunch-lady type staff. The deep fried corn fritters were undercooked and gooey in the middle. Everything else was so over cooked it was almost unpalatable. Even the fried chicken was so dry that it was difficult to swallow without iced tea to wash it down. The atmosphere, while trying to appear homey in it's décor, missed the mark with ripped seats in a corner and the only greeting at the door was, "pick a seat anywhere". The experience left everything to be desired and we won't be going back.
