While I was hiking the AT I started having some extremely bad knee pain. The Alpine shuttle driver brought me here and dropped me off at the front door. When I checked in I mentioned I was a hiker and I believe in knocked a few bucks of the room charge.
I thought the room was clean and in good order. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They noticed I had a bit of trouble walking and gave me a ground floor room. The lobby had free bottles of water for the guest staying there and free coffee in the morning. Interesting enough a lot of the guest here were hikers of one sort or another so their was a lot of friendly conversation.
The inn is really close to a few restaurants, a small grocery store and a coffee shop. All within a minute walk. Some right across the parking lot. If I'm around this way again I would definitely stay again.

Stayed: September 2017, traveled solo

Thank you for taking the time to post a review! We get a lot of hikers off the Appalachian Trail and enjoy hearing their stories. One of the great things about so many hikers staying with us is that they are able to make connections and build friendships before they head back out on the journey towards Maine.

We hope your journey on the trail was a good one and we look forward to you coming back our way again!

Sincerely,

The stay was due to a closing on a mountain cabin as well as Hurricane Irma!
After the closing we felt it best to stay there off the mountain until the storm passed.
Clean rooms, nice owners who were friendly and helpful. We were snug and safe in
our room. They supply small refrigerators in the room and that was helpful.

Room Tip: We had a pet room downstairs which was great, but it was right by the ice dispenser so we would change next time knowing that it is there.

Who can forget that Hurricane Irma made it all the way up to us in the mountains?! What a crazy week but also a fun one as we got to meet a lot of people we wouldn't have met otherwise.

We hope you are enjoying your mountain cabin. We know that living here is one of the best choices we ever made. Welcome to the mountains!!!

This small, local hotel was recommended to us by a friend. It is conveniently located on the edge of the town square. The staff were friendly and competent. Our room was very simply decorated but VERY CLEAN and comfortable. We would recommend it to travelers as you cross the Georgia Blue Ridge area. There are only small towns with mainly local motels. This is a good place to stop while visiting this beautiful, picturesque area.
Be sure to either eat somewhere before arriving in Blairsville or arrive before 8 pm as most of the town closes down early. There is a coffee shop on the square to catch coffee and lite breakfast in the morning...don't miss it! It's at cute as can be.

We only stayed one Thur night. Sits directly off the square. The young lady at check in was very nice and there was no wait. The room was rather warm even after the air condition had ran for several hours. I called the front desk and she immediately brought us a fan. By morning, the room was very cool. The bed we're very soft but slept well. The room and area was very clean.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to post a review. We are glad you slept well although we are sorry you found your room warm in the beginning. Some summer days are hotter than others and it's a struggle to get away from the humidity. The great thing about the mountains is that we never struggle for long as the weather changes almost as quickly as it arrives!

We hope you find yourselves in the mountains again and if you do we hope you choose to stay with us again!
