Occassionally a traveler will happen upon a "Norman Rockwell" town in Central Georgia called Barnesville. I am fortunate to call this my second home and visit family and friends several times throughout the year. Barnesville is the "Buggy" capital of the US. Once upon a time horse drawn carriages were made here. It is also home to Gordon Military College, established prior to that nasty little war some call "The War Between the States." It is now Gordon College and a four year school....great nursing program.
Anyhoo, I am getting off the subject. If you ever find yourself within 30 miles of this town and crave pizza, Slices is your place and well worth the detour. Very reasonably priced, great atmosphere and free Wi-Fi. Once you take a look at Barnesville and meet the people, you will be back.
