Great for breakfast. Good for lunch. The food isn't exquisite chef style cooking, but for a basic fare menu, it's an all around good bet. The Zephyrhills clientele can be a difficult one to please simply because the average age patron during the winter season is probably around 80. Folks of that age can not only be quite picky, but also on all those special bland diets as well. A loyal repeat customer base is prevalent at the Sunrise, so they must have found a good balance between the oatmeal and Moussaka to keep people coming back. It's the winning business model of good food at a fair price and a friendly staff that so few other restaurants follow that should keep them in business for years to come.

The Sunrise Eatery is a great restaurant. The owners are very pleasant and are constantly asking if everything is okay or telling you your meal will be here very shortly. the food is delicious and there is always some to take home even if it is from the breakfast menu. They advertise you will never walk away hungry and they are correct. The place is always busy..but the waiting lines go by quickly. The prices are unbelievable for the amount of food that they give you. It has only been opened for a short time but is one of the most popular restaurants in town.

If you don't mind a lack of ambience but want great food at a great price, this place is for you. The owners are almost always there and will somehow remember what you ate the time before. I can't say enough nice things about this place. :)

On a Tuesday Afternoon at 230 in the afternoon this place was packed. I new we came to a great place when I saw all the people there. The service was great. The prices were better. The portions were outstanding. Will return when I have the chance. Highly recommended. The Ruben sandwich with sweet potato puffs was great

You don't go away hungry or I never have. Their breakfast is worth waiting for. I really enjoy a sausage, onion, mushroom, and cheese omelette. I usually get the grits and I get enough to share with my granddaughter who loves the big pancake and bacon she gets. My husband quite often gets the big breakfast and usually takes the biscuit and gravy home for breakfast the next day as it is too much for him to eat at one sitting. I also recommend the chicken (it does take 20 minutes) and the cheeseburgers. There is usually a wait, but the wait is not long as they usually get your order in and out quickly. The staff is friendly and if you like hearing the 50's music you will definitely enjoy the atmosphere. The only thing that I can say that is negative is that I wish that they would stay open later as they close at 3 in the summertime and during the winter months when the snowbirds are here they do stay open until 6. Quite often my husband and I will not be leaving our home until 6 or 7 for dinner. But if you ever get to Zephyrhills, Florida, the Sunrise Eatery is the place to eat if you are hungry and want good food. Well, worth the wait.
