Great service from Lars, knowledgeable guy great at his job. The restaurant itself super modern and clean, open kitchen, over the top modern bathrooms, and dining rooms. A little too modem to me, the place comes off cold and pretentious, and I don't feel this is a great place to take a date. The dining room is wide open and the two tops are not romantic, I like to sit next to my date personally. Then came the food, we tried a few different small plates, and all of them were good and priced right. Unfortunately I wasn't super impressed by any of them, while they were all good I didn't have anything I would go rushing back for. The fried oysters with remoulade and pickled cumquat, ok. The carpaccio of fish, fresh, light, but not bursting with any uniqueness, or superior flavors. We also had the tortellini, which was fresh made, but to me just ok. I like the half glass of wine idea which allows you to try specific wines with specific dishes great touch. All in all a pleasant experience but, nothing mind blowing, certainly wouldn't put this place at the #4 spot unless, it is because of Lars' superior service.
