“Fun meal”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

We went expecting a simple "hot pot" (noodle) restaurant, but we were surprised. In a good way.

The idea is that you are given a pot of boiling broth and to that you add whatever vegetables, meats, and noodles to it.

It's kind of like a fondue restaurant in the execution.

You make your choice of broth (and how spicy).

Once you've decided that, you can decide on what you want to cook in that broth - they have a HUGE variety of choices including any kind of meat or seafood you want as well as a wide range of vegetables (bok choy, watercress, ...). Additionally you can get tofu, dumplings, shrimp balls, etc.

It was great and a lot of fun. Will definitely return.

I am not into Fondue type restaurants but I was talked into going to HOTTO POTTO and sure glad I was.
We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and the hostess walked us to our table. The interior was quaintly decorated and clean.
I was confused at first and found it a little awkward to manipulate the burner controls but our server Tammy patiently explained the process and in 5 minutes we were devouring some tasty food.
We ordered one mixed platter which was enough for two. This consisted of pork, beef, chicken, meatballs, dumplings, tofu, shrimp, calamari, fish, noodles and numerous vegetables. There are eight different sauces to dip the dishes in and I tried all of them!
Important thing to remember, you cook the food in hot BOILING broth not in oil so nothing is fried which is much healthier for you.
This is a different type of restaurant for Florida but quite common in Asia. Trust me, this new eatery is going to become very popular in the Orlando area. HOTTO POTTO is at the intersection of Hwy.436 & Aloma Av. In a small plaza behind Denny's Restaurant.
I look forward to returning!

“Fun Place!!”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

I knew this place from my kid. Hotto Potto is on the corner of Aloma and 436. The best part of this restaurant is they open everyday and close really late late night (actually early morning the next day), check their business hour on their website or call. We're looking for this kind of place for a long long time until this one. It's very fun when you can cook your own food and eat at the table at the same time. Hotto Potto offers you varieties of meats and vegetables that you can pick from menu. They'll have hot pot divided 2 sides and you will choose your soup base. Heated up your soup and put meats and vegetable s in there and started cooking. We like it here and will definitely be back often. The service was OK!!
