Owner description: The Morse Museum is home to the world's most comprehensive collection of works by American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933). Galleries feature works such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows; his chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago; and art and architectural objects from his Long Island country estate, Laurelton Hall. Exhibitions also include American art pottery, late 19th- and early 20th-century American painting, graphics, decorative art.

The Morse is an absolutely stunning collection of Tiffany. Not just the obligatory lamps and windows (though there are plenty of those), but vases and paintings and personal items and visions and sketches and Laurelton Hall, and.....! But on top of all that, The Morse is a way into the world of Art Nouveau. There are works by designers other than Tiffany. There are information sheets for every gallery. There are staff members who will willingly hold a long discussion about the merits of this sculpture, or that painting. There are videos about the beginnings of the museum, and how the collection came together. It is - as other reviewers have said - fascinating, and inspirational, and breathtaking, and educational - all at once. Highly, highly recommended. The only downside is that there's no coffee shop. Winter Park has plenty, but we'd have liked to spend longer browsing the galleries at The Morse, and breaking the day with a coffee would have been perfect.

The Morse is a great museum in the heart of Winter Park. It's both inspiring and educational. The lead glass is beautiful and learning of Tiffany's life and home was wonderful. So much more than lamps! Treat yourself with a trip to Winter Park and enjoy this great museum. Yes, I agree, a "treasure"! (discounts too for students and seniors-I got in for one dollar as a graduate student! Bargain!!). Also agree, more for adults, not kids....

You will want to take your visting friends to this beautiful museum. It displays a large and beautiful collection of Tiffany that Mr. & Mrs. Morse collected over many years. It is definitely worth the drive to Winter Park to see it. Winter Park is a lovely small town with several good restaurants and designer clothing stores.

If you like Tiffany's art glass, this is the mother load. Not much in the way of paintings or prints but many beautiful Tiffany windows and pieces. The wing devoted to his home is fascinating. I definitely recommend the museum. Admission is very reasonable and they have free parking on site.

This small museum is a treasure to visit. Easily done in an hour, or take several. Very quiet, very much an adult museum. There are alarms on some of the exhibits, I set one off merely by pointing in the direction of a piece I admired, and didn't even cross the barrier doing so! Staff/docents in every room, or they might cover two smaller rooms. Most are very still, and they by and large are not there to engage with you, IMHO. However, there were a couple that smiled and said hello and made a comment or two, and I felt I could ask a question or make a comment. However, I was annoyed by one docent. She followed us through two rooms, and then the gift shop. She seemed to be there if we so much turned our heads. We were 3 adult women, behaving well! She even stayed in the gift shop until our purchases were completed! Not cool!

However, remaining staff were very nice. Very fair entrance fees. Two movies to introduce you to the museum. Bathrooms very clean. Parking on street or private lot.

You will see everything "Tiffany." Such beautiful pieces and works of art. You will learn a lot about him and his family and his love of Winter Park. There are also several other artists exhibited in this museum, but Tiffany is the major subject here. I loved the garden room, but the chapel moved me a great deal. I found some solace here, not just due to the quiet and beauty, but a peaceful and powerful feeling. The cross "lighting" fixture (a poor description) is simply awesome. So, be sure and look up!!

Very highly recommend a visit!
