Owner description: The Morse Museum is home to the world's most comprehensive collection of works by American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933). Galleries feature works such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows; his chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago; and art and architectural objects from his Long Island country estate, Laurelton Hall. Exhibitions also include American art pottery, late 19th- and early 20th-century American painting, graphics, decorative art.

The museum has gotten even better with the new expansion that now includes a wing for the Laurelton Hall exhibit. The stained glass windows are beautifully displayed and the chapel from the Chicago Exhibition has been recreated in all of its beauty.

Over the years I have visited the Morse Museum several times and have always left in awe of the talent of Louis Comfort Tiffany as well as the skill of the museum in its presentation. The amount of Tiffany's work on display is impresive. The city of Winter Park has a fine jewel in the heart of downtown and the staff treats the works as such. The Tiffany Chapel is a masterpiece and takes your breath away every time you experience it. The latest addition, a representation of Tiffanys home on Long Island, only hints at the spectacular treasure now lost to the wrecking ball.
If you are looking for a quiet couple of hours to fall into another time, this is the place to go. The entry fee is minimal and you move at your own pace. Tiffany is of course the heart of the museum but you also see a number of American decorative art pieces from the turn of the 20th century. Go and enjoy!!

My husband and I visited this museum on December 6th, 2013. It is the most amazing display of Tiffany glass I have ever seen. The most amazing display in the museum was the chapel that he created for the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893. It was brought to Winter Park and it took 3 years to reassemble it, clean it and restore it to it's original beauty and luster. I have to tell you it was a hundred times more beautiful than any church I have ever visited. The stained glass windows, the altar and baptistery was an awesome sight. The entire museum was very well done. It was well the worth the drive from Orlando and i would highly recommend it to everyone. We went into the museum gift shop after our tour and found the prices surprisingly inexpensive. There was something for everyone on your gift list, from children to budding artists. The jewelry, although not real Tiffany pieces was designer quality and well worth a look see.

The breadth of Tiffany art is amazing. See in person what you've only fiound in books. The recent additions to his Laurelton Estate wing are the stuff of dreams. The small pamphlets available inside every gallery explaining the room's contents make viewing very comfortable and informative at your own pace. A true American gem.
