“Great place for my little boys!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Legopark Florida is a great park for the young crowd. My two boys (3 and 6 years old) love playing legos and were super excited to go to the park. They loved seeing the lego characters come to life. They favorite areas were Chimas, Medieval Castle and Lego City. My 6-years old favorite activity was the Driving School, which teaches youngsters about street signs, safe driving, and then children are able to test their skills on the Lego City streets. In the driving school children are having their picture taken for their Lego driving license. Unfortunately, the price of printed license and the laniard is $16.99 which seems crazy for a piece of paper and plastic. Therefore my little guy is going to have to wait for his first drivers license.

While the attractions are very entertaining, food service in the park is very poor. Food selection is limited to pre-made sandwiched and fast food items. We didn't find in the park any restaurant that offered a good quality meal. We ended up eating in the cafe that served what seemed like subs and wraps made by some caterer who delivers them to the park and refills the refrigerators with this cold, plastic-wrapped chow. All the food was outrageously overpriced.

Additionally, many areas of the park lack trees and therefore so sought-after shaded areas. Hope, this situation will improve with time, as newly planted trees will grow.

Overall, we had great time in Legoland Florida, and we would recommend the place to anyone with small children.

“Wished we had done the 2-day pass for Legoland”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Our son had been wanting to go to Legoland since he was 9 years old. We finally got to go down last Spring during his school vacation. Even though our son was now 13, he really enjoyed Legoland, as well as my husband and I. It was amazing to see all the different lego structures built just from legos! There is this one section in Legoland that's called mini-land (I think) that is really worth taking in. Their lego builders had reconstructed places from all over the world like the Taj mahal, Key West, historical landmarks in Washington, D.C. (just to name a few). It's really incredible! In, general most of the rides are geared for the younger kids, but our son still enjoyed a few rides he went on. They have a driving academy for kids that kind of teaches kids the general concepts of the rules of the road where they first have to watch a short video then they get to drive the car on a track trying to pay attention to the colors of the traffic lights. At the end, they have their photos taken and get a pretend license. You have to pay for the license if you like the photo and then your child has a cute souvenir. Legoland also puts on a water show that was amusing to watch. Legoland characters on water-skis (comical)! They keep Legoland really clean and the employees there were pretty friendly. The day we were there, the water park section hadn't been completed yet, but if we get down to that area of Florida again, we would probably go back to Legoland. We had eaten at a restaurant there but, at the moment, the name escapes me, but you could get roasted chicken there that came with a side of herbed potatoes if that was the side you chose. Both the chicken and the herbed potatoes were delicious! We were pleasantly surprised. I think that if you get to Legoland early enough you can probably get through it in one day. When we had gone, they charged a parking fee of at least $10.00 on top of the admission fee which since you're already paying enough for the admission, I think it should be included in the admission price, but all the theme parks down there do the same thing (Universal Studios, Sea World, etc.)

Great for the kids even the older ones.
Anyone who has ever played with Lego will love this park. It was quieter than the Orlando parks but near enough to visit. Appropriate rides for the younger children without being "boring" and NO LONG LINES to contend with. Great prices on Lego kits and good variety, the girls found what they liked too.

“Good for younger children”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Great park for the younger kids. Our 7 year old girls enjoyed it. Our 13 year old wasn't as happy but still had a go at some of the bigger rides!
Lovely setting.
Park was very quiet when we visited, which was a break from the chaos of the major parks.

“Fun for younger kids and Lego fans”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

My family visited Legoland earlier this month. We have two boys, ages 10 and 14. The boys really liked it.

There are a few coasters which kept the adults and teenager happy. Most attractions are for younger kids. I would say kids under 12 would have the most fun.

We visited on a Friday. The lines were not long at all. I think the longest we waited was 10 minutes. Most of the lines had a "play area" where the kids could play with legos while the parents waited in line. It's a great idea, but the lines were short and we didn't have to use it.

The park is very family friendly and clean. Most of the staff are teenagers and they don't seem to enjoy their jobs. However, one woman that worked in a store towards the front of the park was great. I wish I could remember her name. All day, my son was looking for the paintball minifigure to trade. He was getting bummed out at not finding one, until he saw the minifigure on her nametag. She traded with him, keeping secret the fact that she had the helmet and paintball gun until he asked. She made his day!

We did not visit the waterpark, but we did walk through the gardens and see two shows. We were also able to ride most of the rides multiple times. We had done everything we wanted to do with two hours left before they closed.

The ticket prices were reasonable. The food was average priced for an amusement park, but it tasted good. Overall the park is geared towards younger kids, but the coasters keep older kids interested. We would visit Legoland again.
