We stopped in for about a 1/2 hour. Nice history of Winter Garden. Lady at the desk was very knowledgeable and talkative. Cool caboose out front.

We arrived in Winter garden on the day of their Christmas parade. I was desperately looking for a rest room and went into the museum. it was being used for a function but the delightful lady on the desk welcomed me and had a chat and allowed me to use their excellent facilities.

The bright yellow caboose out front has been getting my attention for years when riding the West Orange Trail through downtown Winter Garden. This time I parked the bike and went inside to see the museum. Admission is free (but donations gladly accepted) and the air conditioning felt great. They have a lot of displays of the local history crammed into such a small space. The huge cast iron bald eagle statue in the back room where the agricultural displays are is so cool. the eagle is "Old Abe", the mascot for Case. After going through all the history adorning the walls and floor space, I went back outside and walked around inside the yellow caboose since it was open. The museum's hours are short due to it being staffed by volunteers. If you are in the Winter Garden area and it is open, it is worth stopping in to see the displays and learning more about the history of the area.

Wonderful trip through history of Winter Garden, to see, and learn about events in the past, and see how Winter Garden has grown through the years.

It is a nice place to visit. It is free and looks very back in the time. Inside the train is very new for me, but it is authentic.
