“Overcroweded”

Springs General Store is a cute country deli you just have to go to. It's super crowded, especially on the weekends but, it's so damn adorable you just need to stop. I don't frequent the store though bc I was very rudely addressed by one of their employees. Not worth getting the man fired but, I can't go back. My friend once told me she had a delicious chicken sandwich there so we went back . . . unfortunately the chicken wasn't the same. It was super thin and rubbery, a few days old? just speculation but, it was like eating Jerky. Still, check it out.

A real old time gem. All of the food is made on the premises. Great to sit and eat outside on the porch in the rockers. Kayak rentals there too.

“Not sure I would classify this a restaurant...but it's still a must visit”
Reviewed January 7, 2012

This is a very comfy corner deli in the Springs area of East Hampton, that specializes in fantastic breakfasts, and delicious sandwiches at lunch and great take out meals at dinner. There is no indoor seating, but there are picnic tables outside in front, and at the side of the store.

People line up here in the summer, and I should know since I'm one of them! The owner is also the chef (Kristi) and she had makes everything and it's all really delicious. The #4 sandwich is my fave, it's chicken breast, pepper jack cheese, avocado with chipolte mayo. Yum. She also has homemade baked goods, which she sells for cheap.Do yourself a favor and try the 7 layer bar.

This is a great place to stop by in the summer, grab a breakfast and a cup of coffee and sit outside in front of the bay and watch the wildlife. They also rent kayaks by the hour or day...so you can work off the calories you just ingested.

I must say, it's really nice to get out of the 'scene' in EH over the summer and visit a down home, comfortable place like Springs General.
