I just return from Vacation for 7 nights at The Cabanas Guesthouse, my first visit. I loved this place and look forward to returning in a few months. All of the staff was very friendly and my room was spotless. Great, tropical atmosphere throughout the property, very well maintained and beautifully landscaped! Fast Internet connection in the rooms, very comfortable beds with clean, fresh smelling linens. The housekeeping attendents were very accommodating and helpful. One imparticular (I did not get his name), was so nice and had a smile that lit up the entire property. All of the office staff was very helpful and friendly as well (Paul, David, John, everyone)! Fully stocked Continental breakfast every morning, which I thoroughly enjoyed eating out by the pool and Great Coffee!! Only 1.5 miles away from the Gay area and popular bars like Alibi, Sidelines, Rosie's Bar/Grill and several more. Only A $6.00 cab ride, or if you need the exercise about a 23 minute walk. I did both. I made serveral new friends here, all nice, down to earth people. The Saltwater heated pool is amazing and nice Hot tub as well, with pleasent music playing throughout the day into the evening. I can't imagine anyone not liking this place. I give it 5 stars on all levels! Thank You Cabana's for a Wonderful Vacation! Hope to see you in the near future!

We traveled here to relax after seeing NYC, as soon as we drove in the gates, we were welcomed with friendly staff and made to feel at home. We stayed in a waterside room, very nice rooms with a beautiful view which was a treat to see the next morning in the daylight. Two pools to choose from and a jacuzzi and the clothing optional choice is great. The main pool being salt water was so warm and relaxing and left our skin soft too! The rooms were kept very clean and in good order and all the staff made us feel so relaxed. The location is good for Wilton Manors - 15 mins walk or a short taxi ride away. We are looking forward to returning.

Was far above what I expected. First class place, very clean and well kept. The grounds have a large variety of plants, a tropical paradise. I can not say enough about the salt water pool, warm water, not freezing like so many others. Only there for 2 days, wish it could of been longer, oh yeah, we will be back.

Room Tip: Canal room had a relaxing patio at your bedroom door.

Although this hotel is located on a busy road, it is amazing how tranquil it is behind the security access gate. The gardens are very tropical (but I guess you expect that in Florida), and the grounds are very welcoming. We stayed in a Queen Standard Room, which was opposite the main pool. The room was light and airy with a real beach house feel. Rooms had complimentary WiFi which was useful for planning sightseeing and restaurants, etc. The included breakfast had plenty of selections and the hosts were very friendly.
The jacuzzi is a great place to relax with an afternoon drink, surrounded by palm trees with glimpses out to the canal. There are two pools, so if one is busy you can stroll to the other - although neither were busy during our stay.
Please note that this is an all-male, clothing optional gay resort
I would recommend a trip to the spa for a massage or treatment. We had a massage which was very relaxing after our long flight.
A very enjoyable stay, and we would definitely return when we are next in Fort Lauderdale.

Room Tip: I think any room would be great at this hotel. While we had a room overlooking the pool, I would im...

We survived a total of 31 hours travelling from Australia and tropical storm Isaac to stay at this resort for our second time in 12 months and while air travel and dodging potential hurricanes can be stressful, staying at Cabanas Resort was a totally relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Thank you John, Paul and the team at Cabanas for making our 14 days with you a holiday we hope to repeat again soon.
