My partner and I go to Galanga's every December when we vacation in Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach. My partner goes to Galanga's alone when he is in Florida on other visits. We have always enjoyed our dining experiences there.
When we were planning our December trip, we heard from a third party that Galanga was sold to another owner and we thought the restaurant had closed. I was glad to find out otherwise. We made our reservation and looked forward to our upcoming dining visit.
The menu was the same as before, the servers were as gorgeous as ever, but the service was slow. Either the kitchen was inefficient, or the wait staff didn't care about us because there were a few larger parties who were celebrating birthdays and drinking.
Either way, we would still recommend this restaurant and will still return for a future visit.
