“Roomy and fun”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Plenty of space for multiple dive clubs. Interesting dive and a decent dive store. Shower had hot water, bathrooms were clean. People that run the place were friendly and accommodating . This dive is worth your time and money.

“Blue Diamond Diving”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

A small sink hole near the west coast of Florida, this place is a must dive for serious cavern divers. Up to 100 feet deep, depending upon water table level (we maxed out at 88 feet), visibility is easily 100 feet plus. The water is a wonderful blue color and looking back to the sunlit surface is truly magical. It is a relatively short dive (we had 42 minutes bottom time including safety stop on the platform at 15 feet), but well worth the trip. It is an exquisitely beautiful and simple dive we highly recommend.

“Incredible!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Went Scuba Diving there with a friend. Absolutely amazing! Get there early, so you don't have anyone to kick up silt and spoil the view underwater. The guy in their dive shop was extremely helpful fixing my dive gear. I had a regulator problem and he boiled it in vinegar and got it working again!

“Unique dive experience”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Our dive club, the Bay Area Divers, took a road trip to Florida to dive the Blue Grotto and several other places. Having nothing similar in Texas, we wanted to experience different types of diving.

The Blue Grotto offers cavern diving, which is different from cave diving. Cavern diving allows open water divers (who are not cave certified divers) to experience an overhead environment in a more controlled and safe setting.

The water is crystal clear, and one can see the platforms 20 feet below the surface as clearly as if they were just under the surface.

The dive briefing was done via video, and presented all the information needed to do a safe and fun dive. The manager/owner was friendly and accommodating. He graciously took the time to take a group photo of us.

The surrounding grounds have large covered areas with picnic tables and benches.

The only downside is the price. My personal opinion is that it is a bit too high for what is offered. Both the admission price and price of air fills are more than what I'd want to pay for a repeat visit.

Overall, the experience was fun, but I doubt I'll return there again unless the prices decrease.
