“Clean and comfy”

We stayed here onroute to Fort Lauderdale(Hollywood) for our cruise, good value for your money. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and decent breakfast. The staff were friendly and always willing to give a smile and wave hello. We always grab the hotel coupons from welcome centers or rest stops.

Thank you for stopping at our Sleep Inn & Suites on your way to your Florida cruise. Our hotel is conveniently located right by Interstate 75 and the Florida Turnpike so that we are a perfect choice for those traveling across the state. Like you said, there are coupon books in most Florida Welcome Centers that give you a significant discount at our Wildwood and other hotels.

The room conditions were perfect for a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable, sheets felt good, temperature perfect and I felt rested the next day. Everyone was friendly, and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and the food fresh and delicious. The whole establishment felt and looked very clean.

Like Sleep Inns everywhere, this hotel will never be confused with the Waldorf Astoria. However, it provides a great place to rest overnight.
Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Beds are extremely comfortable, with a good supply of pillows to choose from. Located just off the Florida Trunpike, the rooms are very quiet.
Plenty of hot water in the shower, with a shower head that actually worked.
The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was quite adequate, with eggs, make-your-own waffles, sausages, lots of various donuts, fruit, orange and apple juice, milk, coffee, hot chocolate, and a very ffriendly and efficient person to keep everything filled and clean.
This is the kind of hotel we would stay at time and time again.

Thank you so much for your review of our Sleep Inn and Suites of Wildwood, Florida. Although we are a small hotel in a small town, we are conveniently located right off the turnpike and within a few minutes drive of The Villages, Brownwood, FCC Coleman, the Russell Stouffer candy factory and more.

Front desk personnel were smart, friendly and helpful. My room was very clean, comfortable, and large. Not very modern in design, but it is in Wildwood. Also, no tub, just a shower. The place was quiet and relaxed when I was there on a Sunday evening. I had dinner at the Woody's Bar B-Q out front. It was clean and friendly, too.

The continental breakfast at the hotel was much better than expected: there was a self-service waffle-maker, healthy cereals, fruit juices, 2% milk, fresh fruit, good coffee, etc. The food was provided in a self-service cafe which was clean and spacious.

My overall experience was good and I would return if I had business in that area again.

Room Tip: i was on third floor, at front of building (over the reception area).

Thank you Scott. We are pleased that you enjoyed your short stay with us at the Sleep Inn and Suites of Wildwood, Florida. I am sorry that you didn't have a tub in your room. It sounds like you were placed in one of our handicapped accessible rooms which doesn't feature a tub. If this ever happens again, you can always request to be moved to another room. Thank you.

The room was very nice and spacious. room was chilly when we got in and didn't need ac so turned it off. It got pretty cool that night so our room did not get warm or stuffy. Thought it was nice that they called before I arrived to welcome me and ask if any special requests. Beds comfy. Only complaint the floors in the halls seemed either wet or dirty and the hallway stairs were not carpeted (just concrete so looked kinda dingy). Would stay again though. I tend to prefer sleep inns over most value hotels. Parking was tough - had to park up near the restaurant in front of the hotel due to many trucks parked in the lot and taking up additonal spaces. Seems a lot of construction workers stayed there.

Thank you for your review! We are pleased that you chose our hotel while visiting the Wildwood area. we do get many folks who are stopping while traveling across Florida on I-75 of the Florida Turnpike. Usually there is plenty of parking, however, sometimes guests park trucks, trailers or RVs in our lot and other guests must park in the overflow restaurant parking area. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Was this hotel "platinum" service, no, but it was very good. As others have commented, it looks and feels brand new, so it is well maintained. We booked the night before, and on our way there were surprised to get a call to confirm our reservation. Upon arrival, we arrived much earlier then expected due to a schedule change, and the pleasant front staff allowed us to check in early which initially was appreciated. We went in to the room to settle down before going back out. We heard a knock at the door, they wanted to give us some survey that they wanted to give us at check in. A short time later, housekeeping knocked again. Geez, the interruptions made us wish we had not checked in so early! The bed was very comfortable, and funny thing was, there was a sticker on the bathroom mirror suggesting guests turn the A/C down cooler and gut under the covers to sleep better. In fact, that works very good for me, problem was, the A/C did not get the room very cold, and kept shutting off way before it would get very cold. As a result, I did not sleep very well, even with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good from 6A-10A, waffles, sausage, fruit, cereals, breads and what appeared to be cheep pastries. Also, the usual coffee, milk, and juices, of which I had orange, but it was not the tastiest. All-in-all breakfast was good, but not exceptional as I would expect from a hotel that claims they received a "platinum" rating. The swimming pool looked inviting, not sure if it was heated, but even if it was, the outside air was just too cold to try the pool. After eating, we went back to the room to pack-up and go before the 11A check-out. We heard another knock which we choose not to answer, and could tell they tried to use their key to get in, but we had the deadbolt on. Then we got a call from the front desk asking if we were checking-out or extending our stay. All the knocks and calls from the front desk were very excessive and intrusive to be honest, and annoying. It is a nice hotel, and basically good service, but a bit over the top as explained, and breakfast good, but also not exceptional. Most likely I would consider this location if it was convenient for a future stay, but think I would consider others as well considering the $80 room rate. (Not bad rate, but not great rate either overall for this hotel)

Room Tip: We faced the turnpike and still did not hear the traffic, so all should be good

Thank you for your review. Our Platinum status was awarded by the Choice Hotels Brand so we were being compared with other hotels of our class. Our facilities, including the items served for breakfast, are prescribed by our brand and we do not have much say in the particular items offered. I am sorry about your being disturbed in your room. As soon a checkout time rolls around (11am) our housekeepers do go from one checkout room to another ensuring that the departing guests have left or if they are extending their stays. However, our staff will not do so until after checkout time has passed.

Clean and well lit. Rooms very clean and neat, things looked new. When asked if the hotel was new we were told that they have been there 5 years. The staff was very accommodating and could not have been more helpful.
