Food was really good. Pimento cheese app terrific, fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had. Fried chicken and waffles amazing. Don't miss the cakes. Salted Carmel cake out if this world. Cornbread sooo good. Great experience. Excellent staff. Real low country food. Only miss was shrimp and grits. Didn't care for the green and red peppers in the recipe. I prefer old school Charleston style, no peppers. Rest of the meal rocked. Not to be missed. Best restaurant by far in the area.

Outstanding food with a southern cooking flair. Not for dieters but well worth going off your diet for a day. The layer cakes are incredible and 5 layers high. This one is a must for any list of places to eat near The Villages. Small and often hard to get in, but they take reservations.

We discovered the Cotillion about 3 years ago. The food is consistently wonderful. We go back on special occasions or to take friends who have never been there. It is small, but packs in quite a few tables. It is best to make a reservation if possible. It in located in a historic building in Wildwood, FL, close to The Villages. It is decorated with antique furniture and dishes and also old photos. Most of the evenings that we have been there, the owner, Miss Kathy, has been there and chatted with us about the history of the building. If you buy a cookbook of Cotillion recipes - and you will want to buy the cookbook ($20)- she will sign it for you. I love the meatloaf and also the pork. My husband gets the catfish. I was most impressed withh the house side salad. It is so fresh and includes fresh strawberries and pecans. I had never tasted that combination before going to the Cotillion. The servers arevery accomodating. The most amazing memory we have is of the cakes and pies which are displayed on a bureau on one side of the room in full sight of all the diners. Some layers cakes have got to be at least 8 or 9 inches high. We have never had room for dessert, but we hope someday to try one or two. The Cotillion now serves beer and wine - it used to be BYOB. The prices are affordable - I should go more often!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while driving north. Our GPS listed it and we took a chance. Wow! You would never think that it existed in such and unassuming neighborhood. There were many, many women lunching there, some quite dressed. We were in jeans and that was fine. The food is excellent. Really southern, well prepared and fresh. The atmosphere is southern, too! We did not have dessert but boy did they look incredible!
