“great place for many activities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

There are many special weekend activities and classes that are offered regularly. The Florida Folk Festival is a wonderful place for music and the Festival of Lights is spectacular.

The grounds are gorgeous for strolling and the bell carillon beautiful for listening. Very nice displays about Stephen Foster and his music. Hikers can access the Florida Trail and kayakers the Suwannee River.

“Great Park-knowledgable staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

I had the opportunity to spend three days here. The park has a wonderful campground with lots of pull thru sites-restrooms are clean, showers large with lots of hot water. The park is only 10 min from the junction of I 75 and I 10 so its easy to get to. Nice museum and gift shop that has bikes to rent and snacks. Staff really knows the area and are very helpful. This is a great place to use as a base when visiting north Florida/Jacksonville. The park is about half way between Tampa and Atlanta and as such is a great layover spot for those of us with RV's. Can't wait to return for a restful visit.

“Fun place to visit and camp”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

We camped here for the second time. The bathrooms and showers are very well kept, the camp sites quite large and most have some greenery inbetween for privacy. The store has free wifi, and they don't mind if you sit inside to use it even if you are not planning to buy anything. Be sure to check out the museums and the craft village. We spoke to a very interesting jeweler one day and quilter another.

“Beautiful Stephen Foster Memorial!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

The Stephen Foster Memorial near White Springs, Florida is located on the banks of the famous Suwanee River, made famous by the songwriter Stephen Foster. The gardens spread over a number of acers of beautiful rolling land adjoining the river. A yearly folk festival has been held on the grounds for over 50 years and is well worth attending. The carrilion puts out beautiful music, it is a must see in north Florida not too far from the crossings of I-10 and I-75.
