Owner description: On the far-eastern coast, you'll find coral reefs in water so shallow that you can actually walk out to them. Along the beach are the Long Bay Hotel and the rambling Allegro Resort Pineapple Beach.

“A ray of sunshine, quite literally”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

The water is calm and you can walk out, avoiding damage to the coral, well over 100m. The water is extremely clear, and there are a good number of fish. There are some large pieces of brain coral up to 1.5m tall and 2m wide. As well as many fish which were easily accessed, i saw rays on my first trip out. There are sunbeds that can be rented of the locals. We got a beautiful necklace and earrings which were a bargain. You can get fresh pineapple and fruit, from Brenda. There is a simple bar with reasonable food and cold Wadadlis. On the 2 occasions we went it wasn't too busy either time. If you have transport this is a great day out. Spend a bit of quality time with the locals to round the day off.

“I wanna go back.”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

One of the most beautiful beaches on Antigua. Snorkeling, food, and some shopping. You can spend all day there. Would love to stay at the resort there next time.

“Over Rated In my View”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

Having been to over 20 beaches in Antigua I was disappointed in Long Bay. It's quite busy so don't expect serenity. There are many more picturesque beaches in Antigua. The sea isn't that clear (as it's the Atlantic side). The reef is OK (4/10 on a snorkelling scale). Be careful with young ones as the reef is like a maze and it's easy to get on the ocean side of the reef and not able to find your way back. There are lots of fish, but not much plant life on the reef.

“Fantastic sun seeking”

Rentable umbrellas and chairs allows you to set up for a day of sun worshipping, taking it easy, taking a dip in turquoise waters.....

“Another nice beach away from crowds!”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

The moment you arrive, you can buy a fresh coconut and drink it under one of many trees. This beach is nice because the water is so shallow. Another beach with powder white sand! There is a restaurant In the area which we did not visit. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent. Dont know how much as we did not have a need for them.
