it is little bit expensive if you cruising and you want to go there !! 68 $ round trip
but what we do is simple, we find some friend on the boat, so we were
4 sharing a taxi ofr a day, we pay 100 $$ us for all day long and we can go everywhere we
want on the island !! so actually it cost 25 $$ per person !! !! BUt half moon bay
when we were there, we were 8 persons incluning us on the beach !!
water is very blue, sand is very soft and white !!
you should go there...but if you have less budget, go to JOLLY BEACH
is not so far from the cruise but the beach is full of person and it is very nice
sea doo for 40 $$us for 30 minutes !!! was very nice !!!

“Secluded and Beautiful”
Reviewed June 17, 2009

We asked locals where they recommend us to go while we had our rental car, everyone said Half Moon Bay. We drove to the southside of the island and we were not disappointed. We were the only ones there, the water was crystal clear, and the sand was soft and warm. After driving around the island, this is def. one of the best beaches on Antigua!

“The best of the best”
Reviewed May 23, 2009

Absolutely incredible beach. We went to it from our cruise on the carnival victory. It was completely on the other side of the island, but for $35 each way in a taxi you can get there. It was well worth it. The most amazing beach I have ever been to. The left side you can try your snorkeling with the fish. The middle has some really nice size waves, and the far right is a bit calmer. The views are outstanding, and is a hidden gem. 6 people in total were at the beach that day!!!

“The wonderful half moon bay hotel”
Reviewed March 16, 2009

It was our second visit to the caribbean and luckly we had booked the half moon bay it was 1994
The beach and bay were wonderful, our room was directly on the beach.
Every morning after breakfast we would feed the fish on the curve of the bay,the fish would swim through your legs and take the food from your hands.
The food and service were great,In the evening a maitre de would take you to your table, after dinner you could dance under the very tall palm trees.
I seemed to recall there was a small golf course.
It was a wonderful holiday,It would be lovely to go back

“Beautiful Beach”
Reviewed September 1, 2008

We stayed at Half Moon Bay for two weeks on our honeymoon in 1986 at the hotel on the site, which was one of the nicest in the Caribbean at the time (if I recall my research correctly), and certainly had the best food of any vacation we've been on to date. The hotel was destroyed by a hurricane several years later so while we've wanted to to go back, we've never done it. Having been to 12 different islands in the Caribbean since, it is probably the most beautiful beach we've been to. I keep hoping they rebuild the hotel so we can re-visit.
