We came to Leila at the recommendation of friends for dinner before Salome at the Kravis Center. The special for 2 for dinner was very good, especially the lamb kebob. The dessert and Turkish coffee also good. We tried the Yakut Turkish red and it was good; not measuring up to a Pinot Noir, but well worth drinking.

Horrible, got food poisioning worst middle-eastern food I have ever had. Everytime I think of their falafel I want to gag, it was nasty all I could taste was the flavor of dirty over-used oil.

There were nice white table cloths and there was a moderate amount of people there for lunch. Nice ambiance. I had the Lamb Kefta - a Lamb patty on grilled tomatoes on a Pita and excellent Couscous with nuts. The couscous was cold and I am assuming that is how it is presented but it was excellent. There was also a side of Baba Ghanoush which was very smoky, a little too smoky. I should have had the hummus instead. The ground Lamb was very tasty, fresh and juicy. Nicely spiced. This was just enough to fill you up. Warm Pita and olives were also served free of charge. My wife had the Falafel salad which she was very disappointed about - bland. The Falafel was like cornbread hush puppies. There was only one waiter for lunch and he forgot to give the lunch special menu which was disappointing as I would have liked to see my other options. The Maitre'D was likely the owner and quite charming. I'm sure their dinners are more elaborate.

Have enjoyed going to Leilas. Went for lunch. Ordered a lamb kabob. It had a sligh odor to the meat as though it was not really fresh. Salads are really good. So it was disappointing to have a sligh smell to the meat.

Leila's serves up wonderful meze. Entrees are also very good however a bit pricey. Dancers are excellent, The joy of this restaurant is the lovely back garden patio---secluded and quiet. If you go early you can actually enjoy conversation with dining partners and that is hard to come by anywhere these days!
