My friend and I were really excited to go to antique row, but we made the mistake of going on a Monday. A few stores were open and the ones that were open kept inconsistent hours since June is considered off -season. To be fair, it would be fun to go back when all the stores were open and functioning at full speed. Also, the few stores that we did visit had a lot to see, but I shop for antiques quite often and these were a bit pricey. I would recommend others to go, but to be wary of the hours and to to really know what a fair price should be before you make a purchase.

Thank you for visiting Antique Row! I'm happy that you enjoyed your visit, in spite of encountering off-season hours of some of the stores. While most of the shops and galleries in our district keep regular hours year round, there are several that close Mondays in the summer through early fall.

I apologize for the inconvenience, however, please understand that most of the shops are small operations, and proprietors take advantage of the slower summer season to go on buying trips, make improvements to their stores, and even go on vacation! During the summer, your best bet is to visit Antique Row Wednesday through Saturday between noon and 4:00 pm.

Thank you for the review, we hope you visit again soon!

Modest looking street area and shop fronts, but inside there is a wonderful world of antiques. Most shops are within easy walking distance, many side by side. Some shops that have consignments are really affordable. Other shops are places to look and dream unless you have deep pockets. How about a lovely pair of shelves once owned by the first governor of New Hampshire under King George III? Another shop has the funkiest antiques, like a huge pair (4 feet long) of scissors, or assemblage art made of antique tins, cannisters and doll parts. Really fun. I fell in love with an 8 x 10' mirror, beautifully foxed (just a bit), and etched around the edges with a great sea motif: sailors, treasure chest, sea stars. The owner said it was 1940's vintage from a bar in the south of France--$6K. There's a sweet little cafe called Belle & Maxwell's Cafe with wonderful parmesan fries and spiced aioli plus soups, sandwiches, and desserts. Rhythm Cafe also gets good reviews. A fun foray guaranteed for antiques lovers. Even my husband loved it.
