Don’t hesitate to stay at the Hampton West Palm Beach Airport. The location is good – only a few minutes from I-95 off the Belvedere exit and also a few minutes from PBI airport if you go down Belvedere a few more minutes. Also, I think I saw a dog racing track. The other way, it is slightly over a mile to City Place in downtown West Palm Beach on surface streets. The hotel is not really located in any kind of resort, downtown, or historical district, so there isn’t anywhere you could walk to except the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn, which has a restaurant. There is plenty of parking if you have a car.
Even though it is close to PBI, you can not hear any aircraft. The hotel looks clean and new. My hotel room was so huge it might have been classified as a suite in other hotels. Everything was clean and bright. The room had a small microwave, a small refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, and extra blankets. Also, a sofa, coffee table, desk, and wireless internet. The room was quiet, and even though the door let me hear everything going on in the hallway, most guests and staff didn’t really make any noise. From what I could see the weekend I was staying, most of the hotel guests were families with children though I spotted some musicians and business travelers.

I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or the fitness room. Nor did I use the hotel shuttle though I saw it and the driver busy at times. The complimentary breakfast was fine with plenty of hot coffee and basic breakfast choices like fruit, sausage patties, pastries, toast, cereal, waffles, juices, etc. There is a computer in the lobby for the guests.
The hotel management and staff were just great – very approachable. There was none of this difficulty catching somebody’s attention like you see at so many of the major city hotels. I had no issues during my stay but the little requests I had were dealt with not just efficiently but with a sense that they cared. For instance, when I checked in (early), the manager checked on the walkie-talkie to see which rooms were available and the voice of a housekeeper boomed back with pride a list of rooms ready for guests.
Skeptical travelers will think this is another “salting the mine” review by somebody from the Hilton company but it is not. I definitely plan to stay here next time I am in the West Palm Beach area.More
