Grandview Gardens, 1608 Lake Ave., WPB, FL is the best!!!

I relaxed just like I was in my own home. Warm breakfast, cozy surroundings, we rode the B&B bicycles to the beach, City Place, and to the park or local restaurants. Our kids were very well taken care of.
My name is Jack and I am from Southern California. Should you plan on visiting the WPB, FL area then you need to consider staying at the Grandview Gardens.
Rick, Jan, and Peter, ..... Thank You so, so much, for taking care of us with regards to our visit and the unbelievable experience afforded our families!!
Warmest Regards,
Jack

My family stayed at the Casa Blanca cottage and loved it. The owners are AMAZING. They are friendly, genuinely kind, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about providing the best experience possible. The location of the house is serene - totally peaceful, while being close enough to anything you might want to explore. The pool in the back is gorgeous!! The pictures on the website do not do this place justice. The back patio with grill is perfectly landscaped with multiple chairs to lounge or hang out at the table. The house is spacious while being cozy at the same time. There is a park directly across the street with a toddler jungle gym and baby swings - as well as another section with a playground and swings for older kids. The house is within minutes drive of City Place, which has many restaurants and shops and within minutes of beaches, theater, the opera house and a museum. While the house is referred to as a "cottage" it is very spacious, beautifully decorated and I would be happy to call it my home. There is one bedroom with a queen bed, one with two twin beds and another sort of sitting room with a day bed in it, that we used as the baby's room - so we really used the house as a fully functional 3 bedroom. Every single thing we needed was provided for us - from directions to good restaurants, to umbrellas for use at the beach to chilled water waiting on our arrival, to a pack and play and highchair for my daughter, to a fully stocked laundry room, to different varieties of teas, all the way down to multiple choices of pool floats for the baby. I have traveled all over the world and you just don't get more attention to detail than this. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My daughter looks at vacation pictures of the house, claps and asks to go back to her pool. I have recommended this cottage to several people and will definitely be returning myself. As the mother of a toddler who needed a relaxing, fun, stress free, everything-already-thought-of-for-me-vacation... this was Absolute Perfection.

We found Grandview via Palm Beach Atlantic University, where our daughter enrolled in August of 2007. Through these 3 years, we really can't count the number of times we've stay with Rick and Peter, the owners of the B&B. Yes, due to various circumstances, we have had to stay at other places, ranging from the vanilla Hamptons and such to the Chesterfield on Palm Beach Island. Simply put, our choice of places to stay is Grandview Gardens! Rick and Peter have become friends over these years, but that doesn't affect the sincerity of our review. In fact, it is largely due to their outstanding service and property that we have become "regulars" and friends. Equal to their personal attention, the rooms are all well-appointed, immaculately clean, well-stocked, comfortable, beautifully decorated. During this past stay, we had the opportunity to stay in the Casa Blanca Cottage. It exceeded our expectations. Again, equally well-appointed and comfortable, the cottage also has a wonderful private pool which we enjoyed greatly. Try Grandview Gardens-You won't be disappointed!

Our first Bed & Breakfast stay ever & a surprise 25th anniversary trip for my wife was a perfect choice for our stay. Greeted by Peter the first day & signed in quickly in a very quaint entry area & shown our accommodations which were quite lovely. Clean as a whistle really nice decor. We were in the Everglades room which had a private entry upstairs & overlooked the pool. The room was spacious & besides the TV & desk & chair also had a love seat and a very handy book made up with all the local information we needed for our two day stay. It was quiet at night & very peaceful. We slept great on our king size bed. Breakfast was nice & the 1st day we ate out by the pool with a wonderful breeze blowing. The second day we ate our breakfast in the room that adjoins the dining area, which had candles and classical music playing and was very nice. We were very pleased with the entire stay.

We came to Grandview for a quick Easter getaway, and I have to agree with all of the positive reviews you'll find here. Rick and Peter have put their years of experience working in the hotel business around the world to good use, with a great eye for those special details you find in top hotels. The rooms face a pretty pool area lush with flowers. Our room was nicely furnished and had a great private balcony on the second floor. They make breakfast a special experience, with eggs, homemade pastries and fresh fruit salad, which you can have by the pool. Rick and Peter know all of the hot spots and we enjoyed, among other restaurants, Dolce de Palma and Rocco's Tacos. We didn't have a car because it was a quick turnaround so we made the 15 minute walk to the downtown area, and also walked to the beach across the bridge in Palm Beach, which was probably around 30 minutes' walking time. We're runners so the walking was enjoyable and not a problem, but probably a car rental is a good idea for this B&B because it's off the beaten track in a cozy residential area. We ended up taking a cab to the beach on other days just to save time, but Rick and Peter also have bikes that you can take to do exploring. The beach is beautiful - I liked it better than South Beach, though my husband thought the opposite. All in all it was a great little getaway, and a really lovely B&B.

My wife and I have stayed here many times and we live about 500 yards down the road. We are so impressed with the attention to detail that we had our wedding party stay here and took all the rooms. It is a true gem hidden in a tropical atmosphere and Rick and Peter are great hosts.

We stayed at the Casa Blanca cottage with our 21 month old daughter. The cottage is perfect for young children! She loved the pool, as did we, and the backyard is beautifully landscaped - making it great for just lying back and relaxing! The house is meticulously clean. We knew that we would potentially be spending a lot of time in the house, so appreciated the beautiful surroundings and chic decor! There is lots of space, so our little one was free to roam about, and there is a room off the living room area that is perfect for a little quiet time - equally shared by mommy and baby! The cottage is close to City Place, a short drive to the beach, and close to major free way exits. The neighbourhood is quaint and safe, and nice to stroll around after dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would have no hesitation recommending the cottage - especially for a family!
