“Outstanding!”
Reviewed October 29, 2011

Made a unplanned trip to West Palm Beach, and arrived at Grandview Gardens without a booking. Fortunately there was a room available. I actually wouldn't class it as a room, it was more of a suite. Everything was absolutely beautifull, spotlessly clean and we were made to feel very welcome by the host! This is truly an outstanding guest house!!!!

A touch of the South of France in Florida. This delightful bed and breakfast has the feel of a small country inn located on the Mediterranean. The innkeepers are extremely helpful and will do whatever they can to make your stay both enjoyable and memorable. The location is superb - within walking distance of shops and restaurants - and a short cab ride to the island of Palm Beach. Everything about this bed and breakfast is first class.

Located in nice, quiet, established neighborhood and buffered by a big green (passive) community Park on one side. Away from the bustle for yet within 10-15 minutes of absolutely everything. Beautiful Inn, clean, well taken care of, private and to the passer-by they would never know it's a B&B hidden in all that beautiful landscape. Morning run had us oceanside within a few minutes and borrowing the bikes gave us complete access to the Intercoastal Trails, the neighborhoods, downtown and the weekend Green-Market (Cool!). City Place is a short few-block walk for shops & food scene but one visit there was enough. Breakfast is easy & simple, nothing overly creative to rave about but very good and gets the day started well. Very close access to the Tri-Trail (commuter rail) to take a quick, inexpensive ride to Ft. Lauderdale (Airport) or Miami. We loved our visit.

A delightful old home plus add-ons. Beautifully decorated with great beds plus a delightful garden and swimming pool.

Our only disappointment was that the breakfast was pretty scant. Usually at a B&B we expect a splendid, hot, gourmet style breakfast. This was pretty much fruit and cheese, coffee and tea, and a couple of coffee cakes.

The hosts were most amiable and offered the possibility of a guided tour on their boat (we think) of the water-front homes of the rich and famous. Couldn't make it ourselves, but it sounded like fun.

Room Tip: Ask for the moon -- they'll try to provide it! Up to and including the removal of a footboard o...

Thank you for the wonderful review and we look forward to welcoming you back! In the off season (Summer), we do scale back the breakfast Monday thru Friday to include a selection cereals, squeezed juices, yogurts, a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, coffee cakes, a selection of served toasted english muffins and a variety of toasts, and served coffee or tea. However, on the weekends we additionally offer eggs a la carte with bacon and/or eggs benedict. During the high Season (Fall/Winter/Spring), we offer an egg dish every day of the week in addition to the above mentioned offerings. Hope to see you again soon!

Grandview Gardens is located in the Historic District of West Palm Beach and the mediterranean architecture of the building is spectacular! The property is decorated perfectly to suit its style and is in immaculate condition.

We stayed in "Jungle Cabana", a separate room from the main buildings, which had its own very cute decked back yard.

The owners Peter and Rick are fabulous hosts and we enjoyed the fresh, healthy breakfasts, with a slight departure on Saturday in the form of a superb Eggs Benedict!

The property is located within walking distance of City Place, a very cool shopping centre with some nice restaurants. Beaches are all too far to walk to and we would recommend Macarthur State Park beach, which although a 20 minute drive, is well worth it.

If you want to stay somewhere with an authentic mediterranean feel and be treated well during your stay, this is the place for you! We shall certainly return!!!

Have stayed at Grandview Gardens a couple times this year - so I know that our good experiences were not the exception, but the rule. They do an exceptional job with maintaining a great ambience with exceptional service. Clean as a whistle with loads of charm and a nice walk to City Place and a short drive to most everything else in Palm Beach - this is a gem of a property tucked back into a neighborhood.

We were at the Grandview Gardens for unfortunately only one night. Rick and Peter were very nice and attentive hosts; the B&B is very nicely decorated and set around a private pool. It is only a 10-15 minute walk from the restaurant/shop area of West Palm Beach; Rick and Peter also provide bikes to get around the area (sth you shouldn't miss, cycling once around the Palm Beach 'island' is a really special thing to do.

Great place anyway for a couples stay.
